Got a new 2023 Tundra Platinum and also a 2023 25th Anniversary AWD Sienna for the wife so decided to make a wash system. This isn't exactly a budget system , but it isn't top of the line either. I tried to get Made in USA when possible. Im not going to link every last fitting, part or thing Im using but just the big pieces.

    So here we go.

Pressure Washer - Active VE52 - This is great in that its right on delivering about 1100 PSI and 2 GPM in actual output, especially the 2 GPM, hard to find small compact ones that actually move this much water.

    Thanks guys works awesome

lay a thick layer of foam down before anything else, let it sit 5-10 mins , but don’t let it dry

    then rinse with normal water

then foam again and agitate with mash mit

then rinse with normal water get all soap off

the lastly , spot free rinse fast as the filtered was is pricey, use for final rinse only

    shove in garage,

best of all, NO DRYING . just spot free rinse park and walk away

here is a shot just now after spot free rinse, it will dry perfect as the water is truly 0 ppm TDS

did you have the truck ceramic coated? If so, how much prep did they have to do? Or, are you using wax?

My ceramic coating is going on soon, had to wait for the 30 days since I had new parts painted pre delivery, flares, grill surround, rear spoiler . Dealer is doing it for me and they will clay bar first , etc . It come with a warranty so we’ll see how it is

should have that done soon and report back, but the paint is very clean so far using the above method, but the truck is super new

You were doing well...until this. Dealer installed coatings are garbage, as are the warranties that come with them. Trust me...read the fine print. I can almost guarantee the dealer will not do the prep properly. Take some time, and research your local qualified detailers and your money will be better spent. It's not just clay barring.....it's chemical decontamination, a proper polish at the very least, and more than that if there are any deeper defects.

I get it , and understand your good advice, but I’m not getting into all that right now , I’m fine with this for now.

we’ll see how it looks and performs, I’m aware it’s not a top notch detail shop ceramic, it also didnt cost that much either so we’ll see how it goes, not expecting miracles.

Understood.....make sure you get good intel about the warranty.....like what you need to do in order to keep it in effect. For what it's worth, I like your wash setup. I have the same Cox reel and Active pressure washer.

Part of this is I have a good dealer been doing busniess with them for years and if something is off they take care of it , so we’ll see what happens, hopefully I won’t ever need the warranty, that would be best.

And ya I really like this pressure washer, really moves some water , the cox reels are awesome , made in USA as well which I like , makes dealing with the hose a snap

I can wash our cars super easy and quick with all this stuff, makes you actually want to do it since it’s easy, especially no drying , that rules

If the ceramic doesn’t hold up long (watch beading) then add a real good ceramic booster to it. I personally will also wash it with ceramic shampoo. Doesn’t leave water spots and works well for foam and bucket usage

Just checking in on my wash system.

works great and the spot free rinse system is the best shit ever.

my truck was just dusty but no road grime build up etc, so I just backed it out, turned on the spot free rinse and just rinsed it off . Then nothing else , no drying etc and just pulled it into the garage and leave it sit . It will dry perfect

Woohoo, on first set of cartridges as well.

Very nice setup brother! Thanks for posting this. You gave me some great ideas.
I’ve been wanting to wall mount a pressure washer hose reel and my CR Spotless but I didn’t have the wall space. I do however have that same type of spot you have by the doors and had never thought of putting them there.

And yes, that CR Spotless is amazing, but it’s greedy. I have very hard water so when I’m detailing regularly I’ll blow through that resin quickly. I buy the resin in bulk and refill the cartridges myself but that stuff has doubled or tripled in price the last year or so.

mine is about 300 TDS and Ive used my spotless alot so far.

I do only do the final rinse and work fast, spending no more than about 5 mins on the entire thing, you really don't need much more with this pressure washer moving an actual 2 GPM out the tip

Big part of my issue is that when I was detailing regularly it was several vehicles, and I was washing my original black Tundra probably twice a week on average. I’ve cut way back on it the last couple of years.

Then there was the time when I decided to power wash my driveway after washing the truck and completely forgot to disconnect the spotless………..

ouch, lol, that would do it.

this is so awesome not having to dry at all that its in the "I dont care what it costs" portion of the budget, HA

I think the system I have its 120 bucks for a new set of cartridges, so thats really not bad since I haven't even used these up yet

What do you mean help get more life ?

shut off valve for fresh CS treated? If so, ya that is a must!!!!

you only want treated water at the very end to wash of the washed and clean truck, so all your really doing is rinsing the clean water with 0 TDS water , “spot free”

    nice setup to you too!!

The kit in the link above gets more life out of the resin:

    Product Details
Convert your present cartridge system to a down tube system and increase your output of DI water production by 40%.
When you use a cartridge you run the chance of getting blow by when the seal at the top starts to leak internally, this gives you a false reading and causes you to change resin way too soon.
It is simple to do and requires no tools.

This conversion will fit the CR Spotless DIC20 DIW20

Definitely with you on it being worth the money. It’s so hot here that it’s a nightmare trying to keep the water from drying on the paint before I can hit it with a towel.

I usually get my resin here and just refill my cartridges. It does look like the price has come down some. I’m pretty sure it was over 300 bucks not too long ago.

I also have this kit. I don’t remember why, but I switched back to refilling my cartridges at some point. Maybe because it was just easier to do? I hadn’t heard that the seal on the cartridges could be a problem.
I see their price on the resin is very close to the place I use also. I have a stainless hose splitter/adapter to go around the the unit for running unfiltered water before final rinse. I don’t remember where I got it.

there isnt much pressure through the filter system and its only moving about 2 GPM out the pressure washer, so any leaking isnt really going to happen, but whatever works for every, run with it.

that said, Ill check that out
