Are you asking for ditch light brackets or the bracket to attached your lp4 to a ditch light bracket? I think lp4 comes with a bracket but I believe any ditch light bracket would work ..... I don’t think I’ve ever typed bracket more

    bracket

I don’t think they are too heavy, any bracket should be able to hold that weight rather easily. They are rather large in size for a ditch light but it’s a personal preference thing. I have seen it done

    1 or 2... I lost count
They should bolt up onto any ditch light bracket, I don't see any reason why they would not. The only problem that I can think of would be that you would not be able to open the hood without hitting the windshield because of its size.

bring this thread back up. I just installed LP4's on my tundra using Rago Fab low pro mounts. the shake like crazy, spoke to Rago about trying to reinforce the bracket, but curious if anyone else has tried running these and their experience.

I think LP4 up top is too much and too heavy but just my observations from what I've seen.

I personally run rigid dsspro driving pattern as my ditch (on caliraised LED brackets) and I LOVE THEM!

Are you planning on using them as ditch/cornering lights? Or Spots?

My biggest concern is the Integrated Peripheral Lighting and hood splash, they do make covers for those as a mitigation strategy.

    just my thoughts….

Planning to use them as ditch lights since I've got LP9's on a C4 bumper. I ordered the blackout caps from BD that cover the hood facing IPTs. I think they look pretty damn good mounted, but the shaking is driving me crazy. I've seen others with them mounted, just curious what mount they used or if they had to mod it at all. Otherwise i may hav eto find a new location for the LP4's and get something like the squadrons which are much lighter.

I made the move to lp4s as ditches, they vibrate when driving but hold true to the position I set them in when stationary. They have been great so far

The IPT is MISERABLE for the already hood splash problem. We popped them on one of our media trucks and ended up using some elec tape to cover them up. That was before the little covers existed.

    But they looked cool!

Good to hear. What bracket are you using? maybe i just need to get used to the vibration and i'll learn to live with it. Only had them on a week.

I personally think a small light setup for ditches makes way more sense as you don’t need the through and they obstruct much less of your vision. A BD s1,s2 or DD ssc1, ssc2 might make a great addition.

i personally run BD racer spots to widen my FOV of the already bright onx6+ in the bumper, to really illuminate where the truck is going when it is pitched sideways. And for “ditch/high mounted cornering” I bolted BD S1s in amber wide cornering…

yeah the vibration is real…and can be somewhat distracting when used as forward lighting.

I’d look into the XL series as @BiggHertz said. According to the info Colton has on the website the XLs are a third of a pound lighter. That plus the not having the peripheral lighting is a win-win if you’re looking for those light output levels up there

Fwiw I debated the lp4’s and ultimately went with rigid d-xl pro as ditch lights. Yeah they are a little large but they don’t seem to be too big. I used caliraised low profile ditch brackets and my rigids do not hit the windshield nor interfere with raising the hood at all.

I've got plenty of clearance with the Rago Fab low pro mounts and the LP4's, spoke with Rago about reinforcing the mount where it attaches to the hood to help with vibration. We will see if it works, or just live with it.

Hey @atltundra, I would look into the SDHQ a-pillar brackets if the Rago ones aren't doing it for you. The SDHQ ones are highly recommended across the office for the strength needed for the heavier lights.

I don't always agree with everything Brandon has to say (:D ), but I can support this. The SDHQ brackets are what I personally run, and the best ones that I have come across as well.

I have the sdhq brackets as well and they are rock solid with the vibration dampener.

Just ordered them. Just looking at the design they seem like they would be more study, will come back with input once received and mounted.

So I received the SDHQ brackets this evening and just got them mounted. I could tell from the moment I picked up the box they were substantially heavier, in a good way. Mounting was same as rago fab, but these I’d would say are even more low profile and sit a little bit closer to the windshield, so visually seem not as much in my driving vision. Did a test drive and wayyy better. I’d say now there is a slight vibration on bumps, vs a noticeable and annoying wiggle or visual movement when hitting bumps. Highly recommend for LP4’s or similar heavy lights. I think the Rago Fab is still a great bracket for smaller, lighter lights. Thank you all for input on The SDHQ brackets.

Only downside of LP4's ive seen as ditch lights is the side projection on those lights that are facing the windshield. Some people have put vinyl over those inner sections. I went with XL Pro's for that reason. Your LP4's look great though.

With the covers that i bought from Baja, they seem to do a pretty good job. Part of it was I just wanted the ditch lights to match the LP9's i'm mounting on the bumper lol. Thanks!

I found the Rigid A pillar brackets to have the least amount of flex. LP4 lights are definitely sik, but unnecessary for a ditch lighting, as the speed in ditch rollers is not at Mach speed and with multiple light bars on my truck, I don’t need that much light up top. Rigid DSS pro specter I bought for my Tundra added the Amber dust covers, and they are perfectly positioned. Especially for cornering. Personally wish that Baja Designs made a squadron light with side reflectors like the DSS, but LP4 is the closest alternative and it requires the covers on the the inner portion of the light with double stick tape that eventually just has to be redone because of heat and dust…. I will say this though; my Baja Designs lights are awesome and they have excellent customer service support if any issues occur. Running Baja Design 10” driving combo fog lights, S8 40” light bar, Onyx 6 40” light bar… All have dimmer controls with the switch pros, so different light scenarios for different conditions is a snap.
