Canadian source for oil analysis?

What’s everyone using as a source for engine oil analysis in Canada these days?

 

Won't answer your question because I have no knowledge in that matter but are you planning an early oil change in your Tundra?

 

Yes. With the help of my ‘shade tree mechanic’ neighbour, we’re doing a 1600km break-in oil change this Sunday afternoon and I’m sending a sample to a lab (maybe AGAT) for analysis. I’m picking up the Toyota OEM oil, filter and crush washer from the dealership Friday morning. Then I’m planning the second oil change at 8000km and sending that one to the lab to hopefully help me determine the best OCI. In between we’ll be towing a 20’ cargo trailer from Cambridge,ON to Kelowna,BC then towing a 25’ travel trailer from Armstrong,BC to Cambridge.

Btw I also may have found a solution via AGAT lab’s Mississauga location. $44/sample. I can pick up the kit on my way to or from work and drop off the sample the same way.

 

Changed the oil today.
