That makes more sense. But that's way too skinny imho. But he did just say he's into the skeletors, so...

Spent almost an hour the other day looking for my flexible flashlight and found it stuck to the frame of my truck. Drove all over the place for a couple days and even posted a pic of it on here when I did my shocks.

I'm getting too old for this crap.

Whats the best way to clean rough fiberglass? I was gonna hit it with soap & brush, then hose it down with my weak electric pressure washer, but dad kinda rained on that parade. Anyone think blechewite or dawn or a semi-stiff bristled brush will cause me problems?

    polo approves.

better, but gonna try some mildew remover. Maybe paint the inside with a roller?

Found them thanks to a black and white puppy trying to eat its way through the lattice under the porch this morning when I got home.

I ran the dog off gently this time.

I've pressure washed mine before without issues. I use one of the less aggressive nozzles. Spraying it with some sort of degreaser first would likely help.

Is that big white building Goodwill’s HQ in Little Rock? Looks like the rock quarries just north of it. This is looking north to south.

My brain went straight to skullfuck, so … I agree, his was better choice.

KILZ it. There’s a rattle can version that works great for fg. Then carpet. Treat it like you would a fiberglass bass boat.

What interstate is that? We don't have any north to south interstates near little Rock. Goodwill HQ is on I-30 on the south side of LR between 530 and 430.

I assumed it was 30. It’s always so hard to tell from this high up. I’m midway between KC and OKC at this point, flew over a Tulsa 8-10 min ago. Red marker is GW Industries, what I figured the big warehouse was. Weird angle tho.

And yeah can’t be I-30, even numbered interstates go east-west. Odd north-south. So he’ll if I know. I do see what looks like a rock quarry in my pic in the lower right quadrant.

You probably got it as clean as you're gonna, but a cleaner that works wonders is that Dawn Powerwash stuff that's relatively new. My wife always keeps it around. I used it to clean up my Tundra's engine bay and skid plates, and thankfully had previously learned the hard way on another engine bay on another vehicle not to let it sit on paint, like I did cleaning the underside of the hood--took the paint off in a several spots.

I also used a piece of pipe insulation on mine but I have a gap that most don't since mine was made for a double cab.

    Tackled the mustang carb today.
    20230531_162312.jpg
    20230531_165231.jpg
Was planning to sell as is but the carb leaks came back after sitting for a few weeks again. Found this OEM carb that "National Carburetors" rebuilds. Motorcraft/Holley 4180 perfect looking and as OEM as possible.
    20230531_161557.jpg

I'm not a carb guy and while I'm sure I could learn some stuff by rebuilding this one I just didn't have the time to really do it thoroughly. Plus after the core charge it's only around $300 anyway.

Also gave the AC a recharge and got it going. It's converted to 134 so easy to do. When I first got it out from sitting the compressor would cycle on and off so I figured it was worth a shot to recharge. Air is nice and cool for now.

Gonna put a few miles on it and get it listed so I can deal with the fun of Marketplace @FirstGenVol I'm halfway tempted to try and get it on "Cars & Bids" but not sure it's worth the hassle.

Hmmmn. I opted out of all Meta several years ago, so I can't follow anything you do, no matter how interesting.

However, I have a 1967 Mercedes 230 (duel carburetor; gas, not diesel) that needs restoring, so I'll be following whatever you post on here, and plan to rebuild mine 2024 - 2025. I purchased complete service and maintenance
manuals (2 books), so now I know what gaskets I need. Gonna take time, a whole lotta spending money; gonna take patience and money, to do it right....

My dad has owned this for the last 20 years. Has only had about 5000 miles put on it in that time and in the last 6 or 7 it's all been from me. It's time for it to move on to hopefully someone who can enjoy it and take care of it. Just gotta do enough to make it drive decent after sitting about 3 years.

It's been around almost my whole life but the space is becoming more important as time goes on and it just wasn't getting used.

Gotta say. Mentioned this in the other thread but I'm hiking thru various sections of NorCal atm, and there's literally a 1GT at every turn. It's f'n nuts how many I'm seeing. Never seen such a high concentration of Toyotas, period, but for so many to be early-mid 2000s vehicles and many are pickups, it's wild.

And to that point, if you're not seeing me posting anything, it's b/c I'm not looking at a screen.

I have no Shame in admitting that thus album cover had never fucked up for a minute. I kept looking at his hand, and going WTF, and then I couldn't figure out what he was in.

Once I figured out he was holding gloves, I made the connection that he was in a carriage? I really thought he had a strong hand.

Well the problem here is that I need more garage more than more driveway. This car doesn't spend time outside. It's seen rain twice in the last 20 years and both by accident. I've got room between my parents driveway and mine to have about 5 more but I know better lol.

I own the corvette and my dad owns the mustang. Up until a few months ago the mustang hadn't been ran in 3 or so years.
