I got my truck back from a fabricator, gave me a new hybrid style front bumper. I threw my new lights on to get a feel for the look and see if I wanted to get any more while they are on sale

Suspension has settled a fair amount, and the truck is definitely squatty now. Trying to decide on new coils to help with the added weight.

why do people with black trucks always find red caps? Such a common combo in my world - Taco's too.

I agree, although i have 33" skinnies, and they barely rub my frame. So not sure about you guys with wider tires.

    Ahem....
    couple things;
    1. you already know someone that runs 35's
    2. I don't run 35's for mall parking lot pictures. Those tires have saved my underside from the baby heads

So you do not have the demons installed. Looks like good prevails over evil.... this time...
I've used surgical latex tubing for bleeding brakes. It'll stretch to any size you need it, small enough to slide a 10mm wrench over, and available by the foot at your nearest home improvement store

Excuse me sir but if you're talking about the wheels..... we're all 6 lug thugs up in here

Thank you for your interjection. I can't wrap my head around why so many of our peers thinks 35's is impossible or taboo. It's been done by you and others already. Hell I've seen it done on countless 1GTacos. Something about a fear of cutting fenders or tubbing firewalls maybe? I don't know. 35's is 100% do-able if you have the heart for it. And there's more than one way to do it

Yep. Also, my 35's are 12.5" wide. I cleared for them by doing quite a bit of cutting and quite a bit of hammering tho. Switched up and ran 35x10.5's after clearing for the 12.5's, and had a TON of room. To be fair, I have no fucks to give when it comes to cutting up my truck for the benefit of beast mode.

Keeping it 100 as always brother.

I've got friends with 37's on their FJs and Tacos and are still IFS. Hell one of the tacos is on 40's. They just cut and hammer and weld til shit fits. Some of em have their own shops and work on customer vehicles too. That's how I know I'll fit 35's when the time comes. One of em insists I should skip 35's and go 37's. I might, just to prove it can be done and get all the internet cool points.
    But probably won't because I went with 4.56 instead of 4.88 :D
My buddy says I should do it anyways, let the v8 do the work. He's the same guy that's going to tune my truck.

Installed a set of 13WL calipers on the front of my beater 02 4x. Had to bend the edges of the metal splash plates behind the rotor just under an inch to get the calipers to fit. New steering rack, swaybar bushings, end links...and discovered deteriorating LCA bushings and CV boots. Ordering cheap bushings and ball joints for next weekend's project. Outer CV boot was pretty much gone and based on the horrible crud in there I don't think clean and regrease is the way to go.

Got some s done today. Anyone want a near new passenger headlight (minor condensation) no teardrop non ridgeline or a Curt tow harness (plugs in to 11 pin) just hit me up.

swapped out a headlight, changed bulbs to osram, prepped new harness, prep’d amp board for under seat, drilled holes for speaker binding posts in sub boxes, ran mirror heat wire through the door boots and removed passenger seats and trim. Next up is sound deadening and sub box carpet. Maybe I’ll even get off my ass on the passenger airbag someday too.

Thank you! I love how it came out and will be even happier when I get my wiring done and suspension squared away.

I'm in the SF Bay Area, so I am guessing prices for everything are "a bit inflated" here, but $1800 with it coated in bedliner. It is the same fabricator that did my slides and rear bumper, so I think it is a bit below market.

For anyone in the Bay Area looking for work done, his Instagram is @mz_4wCustom . I will say that he spends more time welding and fabricating than he does scheduling, and is also booked about 2 months out.

There is no such thing as “wiring done”. Only “wiring left to do”.

Dirty sevens..... the thing is, I feel like 35's are bout the threshold for stock driveline. I'm not sayin I'll never run 37's, but it would be after beefing up some twisty torquey parts, like the entire rear end. and driveshaft. and likely the tranny.... So, not anytime soon
