Toyota Stalking, er...um, SPOTTING with Charlie™ (Hilux/Truck, and T-100 Edition)!

The headlights and front fascia are definitely reminiscent of 1983-1988 Toyota pickup, though the grille assembly isn't as angular and boxy...

 

I like this little Toyota. Its like he's saying "F#ck your Corvette."

I played Far Cry 6 last night after having added this truck to my collection. The game calls it a 1988 Sokudo Mountaineer 4x4, even though it clearly resembles a 1989-1995 Toyota Hilux, and none of the badging on the actual truck reflects the in-game make and model listed...

 

It comes in eight different colors, including two shades of white (though only the first shade of white comes with the chrome wheels)...

 

Two shades of red...

 

All of the colors but the first shade of white come with black wheels. There is one shade of black paint...

 

Hunter green...

 

Blue...

 

Bluish green...

 

I found a special 1985 version of the pickup in Far Cry 6. Pretty badass, and quite fast!

 

With those tires?

 

Actually yes, but not equipped with a snorkel (see below)...

 

I was playing Far Cry 6 last night and misjudged the depth of a creek...



It's hard to tell, but the truck is actually wheels up at the bottom of a creek!

 

In the exact same parking space in the same lot; I believe this truck belongs to the same guy who owns the silver 1994...

T-100s are such a rare sight in any part of the country that I will take pictures regardless of the condition. The nicest example by far was the one that I saw in NorCal last August. Even in Pennsylvania, the few I have seen are not in terrible condition, but they just did not sell a ton of T-100s so I just don't see them. The few I have seen are not particularly bad in terms of rust, but they seem to either be minty fresh and preserved, or they are just beaten to shit as work trucks; I saw this particular example outside of a bike rental place, and it would appear that it hasn't been on the road for some time because it looks like it has been sitting for a while and does not have a license plate. Since there was no license plate and the VIN was covered by the sunshade, I was unable to get a year; I took a peek through the window and can tell you it has a 5-speed handshaker, but I don't know what engine it has (probably a 2.7L)...
