Same. I own a 19X, and own a 43X as well, but sold it to get a 365XL. The stock capacity of the 43X vs the 365XL is one of the reasons why.

Whatever this forum told me to do
was talking to my 22 year old nephew...he asked what that lower sticker was.

Super happy with this purchase. Worth every bit of the $375. Shoots really well, can't imagine it doesn't replace my P320.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Had to acquire a carry gun that I can take to non permissive environments, think legal to carry with a permit but frowned upon by Karen’s who will freak out if someone notices you are armed.

Plus I’m going to be visiting Washington State more often since my in-laws live there and magazines over 10 rounds are no-bueno. Obviously I don’t want to break the law there…. and my SD enhanced CCW permit makes me legal to carry in Washington State.

I debated between a SIG P365 and a Shadow Systems CR920. Ended up with a CR920 Elite, I don’t care about a slide mounted optic on a pistol I need to keep as discreet as possible but the specific CR920 I selected happened to be an Elite because it had the best trigger out all the CR920’s and P365’s I looked at. I prefer the sight picture of the CR920 iron sights over the SIG at any rate. A high viz yellow/green outline around a tritium tube front sight and a serrated blacked out rear sight, perfect for me on a carry/duty oriented pistol.

    Includes two steel magazines:

    1. One 10 round unit that fits flush and has an optional extension for your pinky (which I immediately installed).

2.) One 13 round unit that is essentially a 10 rounder with an extension base plate. I can just manage to get my pinky mostly on the bottom of the magazine.

Took it to the range today for initial break in of 200 rounds per the instruction manual. The little pistol was pretty stiff and tight out of the box, even practically bathed in lube. I had one malfunction at about round 68-70 (or thereabouts) failure to fully eject and hung up the round loading. A quick tap-rack cleared it. No other malfunctions after that, and by the 100 round mark the little gun was running much much smoother. I put 50 rounds through each of the 3 magazines I have (bought a spare 13 round unit), and then ran everything past the 150 round mark in the magazine I was using when the malfunction occurred to see if it was magazine related. No further issues with an additional 100 rounds fired out of that particular magazine.

Today I only ran 115gr ball ammo: 150 rounds of Fiochi, and 100 rounds of Federal. The Fiochi was being shot when the malfunction occurred, and anecdotally seemed to be loaded much hotter than the Federal. The Fiochi brass seemed to be getting flung all over the place, while the Federal ran smoother. I thought the little pistol was behaving about as expected recoil wise with the Fiochi, it wasn’t until I put the Federal in that it started behaving like a much larger service size pistol in recoil. I ran a magazine of each through my HK VP9 to compare and the Fiochi was noticeably hotter. I will probably find some 147gr defensive ammo to try in the CR920 since I find that to have a pretty even recoil impulse in most 9X19 pistols.

No complaints with accuracy it’s not a competitive bullseye pistol, but keeping everything inside of a 5”X5” square out to 15 yards was easy. Range was busy and I didn’t have the opportunity to change targets much, or drag the stand out to the 25 yard and 50 yard lines. I will next session just to confirm where the limits are for my eyes and these sights with a short sight radius.

    Nice pistol

For shits and giggles, have you ever tried running any of these low-grain ultra-high FPS rounds through a smaller frame pistol?? The results are somewhat surprising...

Not sure how much credible 'real world' performance data is out there floating around on the effectiveness of rounds like these, so do your own research before carrying something like is in a duty/defensive situation, but, ballistics on gel tests, barriers and naturally occurring barricades are very impressive on both rounds. The 65gr NOVX is pushing 1700+ FPS (depending on barrel length), and its +P Extreme version is exceeding 1800 FPS and both rounds are hitting w/over 400 foot-pounds of energy. NOVX is claiming larger wound cavities and better mass retention of the bullet through barriers than the larger and more commonly used options, such as 147grain JHPs, FMJ, etc.

I've run both rounds through a Glock 43x and other larger framed weapons, and I've found them to be very smooth and consistent performing rounds (at least on the range). It would be interesting to see what you think running it through a weapon w/much tighter tolerances than a factory Glock.

beat the shit out of an M4 ran great. Finally picked up a 1301. This thing is much faster and lighter. Both amazing guns but I would pick the 1301 over my M4

Awesome, for sure the 1301 is definitely lighter and faster.
Im glad I got one also before the prices went up. My wife still like the M4 because it’s a softer shooter, but heavy in the other aspect.
I need to take pics of all of them. Probably take one this weekend. Pics pending, lol.

Which Canik is that, and how is it? I'm looking for something as an EDC that is smaller than the "Carry" sized pistols I already have. The MC9 has come on my list.

I have the Canik SC Elite. It’s an overall wonderful gun but a little chunky for carrying, to me. Which is why I got that pictured Hellcat. I love Caniks. And today I held a Canik MC9 and I’ll probably swap the Hellcat for the MC9. I never could shoot the Hellcat that well. The MC9 feels slightly bigger than the Hellcat but smaller than the Elite.

Picked up this Tisas Manta Ray (.45 1911). Couldn’t pass it up for $440 including shipping and FFL fee.

    IMG_1291.jpg

I think the fit and finish are excellent for the price range.

My RIA 9mm 1911 feels a little better in my hand, maybe since I’m not use to the bobtail cut, as well as having the extend mag well.

    IMG_1293.jpg IMG_1292.jpg

Think I’ll end up changing the grips on the Tisas and putting in an extended mag release and call it a day!

I've heard a lot of good things about Tisas 1911's recently. For the cost they seem to be pretty solid.

Got the big brother of my 509T, found the 545T and it came home with me, the 510T is probably next, lol , I definitely can’t wait to shoot it next to the FNX 45T, it should be a blast.
