I can if you want. We did a day trip a couple of years ago. It was a good time.

Is anyone out by Chatfield? Is it at capacity? I have a 45 minute drive to there and don't want to show up and get turned away. I have kayak and paddle board, so no, I can't park outside and walk in.

I will not unfortunately. I made it the last couple of years and it's a good time. It's house hunting time again and we'll be meeting with a realtor.

Hit the trail from Central City to Alice yesterday. It's significantly more difficult. Between the SxSs digging the shit out of everything and the water (OMG the water), it's become quite treacherous. I've done it a few times before, but this is the first time recently. I've never had to get out to analyze lines before yesterday. It used to be rated upper beginner to intermediate, but I'm going to put it at a solid intermediate with the extra credit lines at difficult to severe damage possible. Without a complete armor package (sliders and full skids) on the extra credit lines, you're asking for a tow out. There's a spot a bit before the clearing below the summit where a massive rock garden has appeared and the bypass has 2 GIGANTIC holes. I was flexed out twice before I found the right line. Never had to get recovered anywhere, but I have some experience wheeling full size shit. Lemme say, this last time made me want a Powerwagon even more. Had to have 2 of my giant size friends jump on my step at some point. I had bent it up enough that I couldn't get out. It's more controllable when it's dry, but in the wet, you're bumping throttle A LOT. I had to bump a massive something, which is what did in my step.

Never hit dirt? DO. NOT. COME. HERE. It's fine until it's not and by the time it's not, you're in it to win it; no going back. I'm sure they'll blade it at some point, but until then... know I said this.

Funny thought of the day... Saw a bunch of new Broncos out there. A significant amount had families in them. All good, but looking at the drivers' faces, they were well in over their heads.

First TT we've owned (picked up used). First time towing at distance, with or without the Tundra. Went up to Bockman for the weekend on it's first outing, pretty happy with how the Tundra performed up and down Hwy 14!

Well, house closed Friday. Sellers ended up leaving their hot tub. Their movers gave them a no way on moving the thing and turns out their slab at their new place isn't thick enough to support it. They left all the chemicals and stuff, but there's not too much of them left. I'm new to the hot tub game (but excited to be in it), so could use some advice and a good pool supply store. Also, need someone to come and level it. The slab it's on is sloped for drainage, and it's sitting right on it. Do people do this kind of stuff?

Mine are 255/70/18 would that be okay? They are maybe 3 years old, with 15,000 miles on them

Sorry, hit post too quick! I am looking for a matching size, the 255 is a 32" and the 275 is a 33", but thank you.

Does anyone in Denver gather their own firewood from Clear Creek RD? I've bucked, but I've never felled and could use some advice.

Felling trees are easy. Notch the side of the tree in the direction you desire it to fall, move to the other side and cut right above the notch center. Once tree starts to fall, get out of the way.

    Heavy duty steel toed boots
    Chaps
helmet with face shield and ear protection
    Thick gloves
    Use proper cutting techniques

This happened to one of my best friends BIL a month ago. Fell on his saw, chain was still moving but not under power. He still might lose his leg.

Yeah, I'm not interested in having to go through that.

Thank you sir. I'll have to buy some things before. Turns out, we should have harvested already. We're about 4 months late. Might be too late this season to gather fresh, unless we want to burn moist wood, which wouldn't be ideal. But we'll see. A license is only $25, might be worth going out to find some downed stuff that's been chillin and dryin in the CO heat.

Check with tree trimming services. They usually have so much wood they don't know what to do with it.

Anybody have a lead on any shops doing screaming deals on tires for black friday or cyber Monday. Figure if it's a good enough deal I'll spring for some new shoes for the tundra. Cheapest deal I found was 1500 and change for Cooper AT3 295/70R18

Sign up with SimpleTire, even better if you're military. I just had a discount code of up to 60% off. Screen shot your tire purchase in the cart. Then go to discount tire. They will beat any tire pricing. My BFG KO2's were 198.00 each after these were price matched. Normally these tires are 320-340 each.

Their up to 60% off took off 35.27 and the military discount was 75.79 so sadly discount is still cheaper.

Weird. I didn't even use a discount code except military. Then Discount would beat it. Spendy tires for sure in that size though.
