Add USB C

I will be replacing my head with a Sony 9500ES. It has a usb c. Can it be mounted in one of the blanks?

 

Probably make one of these work replacing the 12 volt socket you never use..
Pull one of them and measure to be sure..

Also replaced the other side with an HDMI for a Pioneer HU I used to have.

 

I want it work with the head unit. Looks like this is just for charging.

 

The one I posted for you is a passthrough.
It's more of an extension of your usb c port.

It SHOULD plug into the back of your HU.
That is a male end usb C PLUGGED into the HU correct?
If not you can plug it into the wire on your HU that has a female usb C.






A power only USB charger socket connects to a 12 volt supply or an existing USB.

 

There is also this, it is only 1' long, so you can use it with the HU cord.
It is a passthrough as well.

It looks much smaller than the 12v plug hole.
