    Hey guys,

I have a 2015 Tundra TRD and I'm having issues with the left and right in dash tweeters cutting out. It's incredibly random and has been tough to track/troubleshoot. Sometimes seems to happen if I hit a bump in the road but not always. I initially thought it was just the left tweeter but when trying to find something loose today I realized the right one is doing it also. When they are on they sound perfectly fine so I don't think it's a problem with the actual speaker itself. Anyone ever run in to this problem? I'm handy so I don't want to take it to the dealership just to have them tell me they need to replace the entire head unit and all wire harnesses.

    Thanks!

Could be a harness plug but most likely it may be a short in the stock hu. Mine went stupid and I had to get a new hu. The tweets are connected to the hu. Do you have the jbl or nonjbl?

I tried my best to keep the stock hu but ultimately I gave up.

Appreciate the info and response. I think it's the non-JBL version. It's a 2015 Tundra TRD. Head unit definitely doesn't say JBL anywhere on it but I'm not sure if they do?

It would. But either way the tweets are off the head unit. If they are cutting out and not working at times you probably have a short in the hu.

Man what a bummer. Any chance it’s the amp under the seat?
