I have a Pro X15 tonneau and and have been getting some water infiltration in the typical spots: front corners and in the rear around the tailgate. I'd like to get those areas sealed off better. the tailgate area should be pretty easy since it's just a bare painted surface where I need to attach the weather stripping. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to get weatherstrip to adhere to bedliner? Its rolled Herculiner that I applied in March 2021. I've seen mixed results about trying to prep for adhesive and know that using 3M tape will provide the best results. I just want to know if someone has found a solution that actually works and lasts and stays attached. It's a northern Minny truck so will be exposed to temps from -40s to to mid 100s F.

    Thanks in advance!

Scuff Herculiner with sandpaper. I use a sanding sponge. Clean/wipe scuffed areas with rubbing alcohol. Use 3M Adhesive Promoter on scuffed areas and allow to dry. Then apply Weatherstripping.

DO NOT APPLY ADHESION PROMOTER TO PAINTED AREAS!
