I had 3 daisy chain mounted at the top of the windshield. I found a mount on Amazon that was made for mounting on the rear view mirror and modified it using suction cups mounts.

No issues. I replaced the magnetic disk that came with the ScanGauge with the plate that came with the mount and it’s been holding strong for several months now.

What length arm and magnetic mount did you purchase? I am still trying to find a permanent spot for mine.

    Edit...this one? https://www.tackform.com/products/magnetic-vent-mount-for-toyota-tacoma-and-tundra

Finally ordered one of these. Pretty pumped to be able to see so much more info at once, especially TC lockup and current gear when towing. 9 gauges at once will be awesome. Any reason I can’t do: Gear, TC lockup, IAT, Trans temp, coolant temp, Average MPG, MAF, fuel remaining, cat temp?

I've been on the fence about ordering one. I'd like to see all the info as well but I don't like how big it is. Are you planning to use the windshield suction cup?

Not even sure. Going to see what it comes with for mounting, and if nothing included works I’ll get creative.

It comes with the suction cup...it will stick in the cup holder that is at the front edge of the console.

It is fully customizable and to my knowledge no monitor is mutually exclusive with any other monitor.

The touch screen is pretty responsive so you can always swipe to a second screen

Got the SG3 today. Haven’t had too much time to play, but I’m really liking it so far. It’s come quite a long way from the 2. I set alarms for cat temp, coolant temp, trans temp, LTFTs on each bank below - 10%, maybe something else too. I used the fuel remaining X gauge but even after filling up and topping off it only went to 34.7 instead of 38. I guess I’ll get the fuel consumption dialed in using the “fill up” function like the SG2 and hope it gets dialed in. It seems surprisingly close though so far without making any adjustments.

Really like the current gear and TC status for towing. Seeing 9 parameters at once, and at the push of a tab up to 18 more is awesome.

It has some neat features. I use the 2 finger swipe for dimming quite often. I posted the full manual in this thread also.

Long term fuel trims. Most of the time they’re +\- 5% since being tuned. I Set the alarm to go off if they’re less than -15% (leaner than usual) as to indicate a fuel system issue. On the MAF, since mine has been rescaled for the bigger intake I think the highest value on the MAF table I saw in HPtuners is in the mid to low 400s, so that one shouldn’t be a concern for me I’m thinking!

First time towing with the SG3, I'm loving all the data.
Curious what is considered high trans temps with the factory cooler?

I don’t bother monitoring the TC, but my pan fluid temp I’ve never seen over 225-230ish towing my 7k TT in the harshest of conditions.

Anyone that has it mounted on a 3rd Gen Tundra want to share mounting locations . It seems any place I try to install on the windshield it covers way too much of my view .

Does anyone know if you can monitor engine oil temperature? I didn’t see it anywhere.

I don't think the Tundras have an oil temp sensor, only coolant temp.

I don't see it in standard or xguages. Now that I'm thinking about it, it wouldn't unless you had an aftermarket temp probe installed?

I saw a post on a tundra FB page, a guy was showing his temps from pulling his trailer. He had engine oil temp displayed via OBD fusion on his 2019 so there has to be a sensor and a way for the SG3 to read it I would think.

ODB fusion lets you derive temps using formulas and other temps. Oil temp isn't on the CANBUS but you might be able to read and get the actual reading using Techstream. Available codes are listed here:

@Silver17 if you do figure something out with SG let us know. I've been interested in monitoring this but didn't want to add another gauge to the cluster.
