Just seeing if I'm alone on this boat..

I just purchased the Fox 2.0's front and rear for my 2013 Tundra rock warrior (4x4 5.7 crewmax) and installed them to replace the spacer lift my truck had from the previous owner.

I wanted something that would be smoother than the spacer lift, and also more capable for light off-roading. After install I learned the truck is definitely stiffer than it was before and it feels like I'm driving a dump truck.

On different trucks, I've had experience with 5100's, Eibachs, and fox trd pro suspension. This Fox 2.0 is not what I was expecting in comparison. I just spend over 1200 and I'm already looking for something else.

Is this normal for anyone of you running a similar set up? Here's a picture for reference.

    1. Sorry for the woes:(
    2. What did you buy for $1200?
    3. I've never heard of anyone going to a worse ride from spacers to different shocks. Could be a one-off, but sucks regardless.
    4. Nothing on your tire pressure has changed has it? Wasn't bumped up to a high pressure by someone making your tires stiff as hell?
    5. Love your truck and think it's clean as hell:thumbsup:

They linear shocks, it will feel firmer at first. Let it break in and lower your tire pressure to 34’s

I bought the suspension for 1200. Well it ended up being more than that after tax and shipping etc.

The tires are a C load range 285/75r17 and are set at a pretty factory 38-39 psi.

Thanks for the complement on the truck though !!

Thanks, I will try lowering the psi. I've had them installed for over a month.

I'm considering lowering the front coils down about a half inch but I really dont want to remove the shock as required for this shock. Not sure that'd be worth it.

Miles, not time…lol. I got E rate tire, at first it seems stiff, but I ran like 50 psi, I lower to like 34 and it’s seems fine after

    Are they IFP shocks? (non-reservoir)
Did you make preload adjustments to the coilovers, to match the spacer lift height you had before?

They are IFP shocks. I didn't make any adjustments before installing. They come from Fox preset to be level with the rears.

Sometimes the front can be too tall, causing the shocks to top out quickly. This can make it ride rough/jarring. However, I don't think thats your case. Did you do the install then? and confirmed the lift spacers were removed

As it sits now with this new suspension, the front is just a tad bit lower than the rear. Doesn't seem to be set too high, but I'm definitely not an expert. I would be okay with lowering the front down another half inch, but don't know if that'll make a difference. Especially since the rear is stiff too. I know it's a truck, but dang. Ha.
I did the install myself with my brother, and it wasn't our first install. The spacer lift went directly into my trash can ha.

haha where it belongs! We would have suggested remote reservoir shocks, but too late for that one. If you have a quick minute and a tape measurer, go measure the shock lengths at ride height using this diagram.
If these are the shocks you have (FOX-985-02-004), we would recommend max shock length to be about 23.25". Anything lower than that is also ok.

Yes, those are the ones I have. I will measure tonight! This may be a dumb question but do I measure the shock length as it rests, or while it's on a lift at full droop? Thanks for your help.

Sorry, thought I clarified. Measurements should be done at ride height on level ground.
