Upper arm can squeak pretty bad if its been torqued down while in the air, especially the OE arm. I would loosen the nut and retorque with it on the ground if you haven't done so. But the tie rod hitting the coil, that's a problem.

I have the new coil design waiting to be installed and now I'm a little concerned.

You need UCAs anyway... and that would fix your tie rod issue. Sounds perfect... so why do you want to get rid of them?

I think we figured this out earlier. An aftermarket UCA moves the upper ball joint back, which will give you good caster and avoid hitting the tie rod.

Dobinsons new MRA's require clearancing of that lower mount. I guess IM didn't realize yet they'll need to recommend that step.

"and they said not to worry about the rack bellow hitting the coilover" that blows my mind. "Yeah don't worry about it. Your rack and pinion might get JACKED up while offroading...but who needs power steering, or steering, anyway?"

Right?? They stopped replying to my customer service chats on their site as well as IG. So now I have to buy new ball joints for my $800 3 week old control arms, rent the tool, take a day off work, pay for another alignment… but don’t worry they will reimburse me for the $50 ball joints….

Can you post those here? I really thought the UCA should fix that issue... or maybe it could by reducing caster a bit?

Maybe if I reach out to them saying how I got word about their shitty customer service...maybe that would do something.

But then what is it that we are looking for them to do?

They finally replied, they said this doesn’t usually happen, and they would get back to me in a couple days… I honestly don’t know what’s going to resolve the rubbing, as most have said they need a shorter coil, if the seat were 1” higher it would clear. We will see what they come back with, if it’s unsatisfactory, I will probably push a return/refund and just spend the money on king C/O’s

I would not put it on customer service... I have been dealing with this for over a month. Bubba sent me the reply from his team yesterday that this will not create issues and I politely argued that. They have agreed to return the kit at this point and will be using these to determine the issues... Now to find a kit that will functionally work with what I need...

They are sending labels. Bubba has been great through this... Granted, I have been nothing but patient throughout the entire process, he has done everything he can.

Installed mine yesterday, no issues. I'm running the JBA High Caster HD arms and the tie rod just clears the the spring at full lock and there is no need to clearance the lower mount either, plenty of room.

Would it hit if you lowered the collars down further for less lift?

I don't think so, the spring seat is the widest part and it just clears.

I checked my setup, I am running total chaos uppers, the alignment shop maxed out the caster setting with the stock cams. I currently do not have issues.

Unfortunately, Ironman couldn’t get my issues resolved, so it’s all going back, Dobinsons MRR’s here I come!

I got a buddy with full Ironman on his GX. He just received a recall notification on the upper control arms. It sounds like the ball joint can drop the upright.

Have not installed them yet. I’m thinking I don’t want to go 3”+ anymore and would like to stick to 2-2.5” so probably gonna sell these and install Eibach Pro 2.0s. These FCPs are very nice and beefy but I think I’ll be better suited with the Eibachs for my use case.

No issues with the updated fcp setup…. I just wish it wasn’t lifted so high in the front…

overall best bang for the buck setup.

How much lift... or center-hub to fender? And how many threads are showing below the collars?

25 3/8" (roughly) on both sides with 1 inch of thread showing from the bottom of the collar.

According to this chart that I jacked from another thread, you have ~3.6" of lift.

It's been a few months since the lift was installed and things are good so far.
I think I'd probably want a bit more rake with the back slighter higher, it sits level currently.
