2018 tundra radio questions

i was wondering how to get textson my screeen to popup i hear the alert really low but they dont popup or i can not see them on the screen just the calls. anyone know how to fix this ?

 

anybody ever figure this out?

i did i get calls and everything else just no alerts or popups on the screen if i click messages button it will let me search thru them and will read outloud

 

Are notifications for the messaging apps enabled on your phone?

 

yes i even reconnected my phone again and enabled all that

 

There is a setting through the head unit, I think through messaging, where you can have it pop up.

 

I get them on my screen, I have a Android. What type of phone are you using?

Delete and re-pair the phone to the truck. During the process it should ask if you want to allow access to SMS.

 

Yes did that too. It's probably either the phone or the truck itself. Everything on both ends is on

 

My 21 gives a notice but will not allow me to read it. I can tap the notification and it will read it for me and play over the speakers. I'm using Android Auto. I just assumed it's a safety feature.

 

Same thing that happens to me. The messages don't alert. Just the calls

 

If you are not moving it will show the text.

 

I figured that might be the case. I'm very happy with Android Auto. The weather radar app mentioned on the forum is a nice add on. Someday Google maps will have the radar overlayed.

 

yep everything else seems to work judt not anything to do with texts or emails

 

i put the audio on bluetooth and now it interupts my phones pandora with the sound of the text coming in butstill no popup and the messages dont update just shows the medssages before i turned on truck damn radio system hahahahaha

 

can you not get apps on the factory radio ? now i get texts and calls but not trying to see how to get app sfrom phone to popup on there
