Yeah from there response I took that as them pinning it on all of us, like we got together one night and said "hey let's all throw a couple hundred dollars out the window because that always fun" I just see it as them wanting no part of any responsibility until that day comes where someone does sue them if it were to really go sideways, and someone gets hurt ! Any bets there next version will be powered by the obd port ? Anyway I just ordered the banks pedal monster with the super gauge so can't wait to get that installed, my pedal feels like mush right now lol

I don't think they can directly copy unless it was the ODB reading Banks patented. Their version would have to tap a fuse box or usb.

I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze for them. I figure they are making $200+ per unit sold. Easy enough to not redesign.

This could very well be entirely my imagination, but I removed my PC and my response felt just the slightest bit better than with the PC installed and turned off.
Now, I wasn't thinking about it at all, I simply noticed it the next day, driving it the first time after removing the PC. That's what makes me think it wasn't imagined. I'm wondering if there is a small current draw, even with it turned off and that affects throttle response in some small way.
Could be in my head, just thought it was worth mentioning.

What setting are you running on the Pedal Monster versus what you ran on the PC? I ran my PC on Sport +1.

it’s my daily driver and I don’t need it to be a race truck so I keep it at city +3. Not sure what I had the pedal commander on.

Gotcha. I had the 1st drive with mine this morning. It seems that the gear hunting is less or "more controlled" if that makes sense.

I picked up one as well and just installed it. I agree with the assessment that it seems more controlled than the PC. With the PC even at the lowest city setting if I went over a bump while accelerating it would buck because my foot would move slightly with the bump. The banks does not do that but definitely gives the throttle response I am looking for. Where did you guys mount it under the dash? A lot more wire with the OBD plug.

Just got mine in the mail today with the idash gauge just stuffed the pedal monster near where the air bag is and the gauge is on the window by my other 2 . However I have a vent gauge pod coming this weekend and hopefully will be putting the idash in there, I agree with sport and a setting of 5 it feels really good there with my 295's

Okay after driving it a bit more last night and opening it up in sport mode I am impressed. It's so much more sophisticated than the PC and you can tell more effort went into dialing in the various mode settings. I sold my PC a few months back prior to hearing about the safety issues because I just didn't like how it drove for the bulk of my daily driving, but with the banks you can be at lower speeds and still get the responsiveness without having to actually be going fast, if that makes sense.

I love mine. I’ve had it for 2 years now. I’ve been running mine on city 6. Sport and track are fun, but city is a better fit for my driving style.

This thing is def way more sophisticated then the pedal commander, still does what I want it to do but without all the jerkiness especially over bumps

The gauge pod for the vent is from REM works I found them on Amazon it's 3d printed and says it's for the 3rd gen taco but the vents for the tundra look the same to me so I took a chance and it worked perfectly with no modification at all, still blows air around the gauge to, the 2 pod pillar gauge is from Ortiz custom pods

Nice. Perfect fit for the Idash. I just looked on Sparks....the part number number for the vent is the same between the Tundra and the Tacoma. I would go this route if I didn't have the SG3 already.

How do you remove the vent to mount it there? I installed my Pedal Monster a couple weekends ago and tried to install the super gauge this past weekend, but it's not working.... I'm hoping the new OBD2 wiring harness they're sending out will fix the problem and it not be a bad gauge.

It's crazy you say that because I thought I had a bad gauge as well for a little cause it kept flickering. I reached out to them to send me a new gauge and they sent me a new kit with the ob2 cable and all! and that is what it ended up being, a bad cable not the gauge ! Their customer service is excellent and they took care of everything! As far as how to get the vent out just take a plastic pry tool and pull out the housing the the vent sits in and you can get to the back of the vent that way I don't believe I used anything more then a pic tool and the new vent gauge holder snapped right in super easy ..... just wrapped the idash gauge with a little electrical tape to build the thickness up a bit so it fit in the opening nice and tight

I have the OBD splitter from Banks to run the Pedal Monster and my ScanGauge 3. Over the last few weeks, my ScanGuage will randomly not power on when I start the truck. The PM still works as normal. Shutting the truck off and back on does not power it either. I have to unplug the splitter from the OBD port to get power back. @ToyFan any ideas? I am in No OBD mode.
