Is the support beam for everything the same between 2nd and 2.5 gen’s? Were the plugs to the fog lights still the same between the facelifts? Trying to source a 2.5 bumper right now and trying to figure out how cheaply I can get this done. Just had someone back into my 10’ yesterday and already had a pre-existing rust spot before that.

So I’ve been sitting here with the “new” bumper waiting to swap out but can’t really take the time unless I can swap out them quick. Not sure if anyone has a handy tip on a QUICK method for undoing the bumper beam extension bracket nuts from the body. I’m in the North East and kinda worried about getting them to break free in the first place.
Did everyone else find it straight forward to just undo those nuts and once the splash guards are disconnected and fogs unplugged, have the whole thing come off in one go?

AFF25018-4C28-4FA3-B86A-EDDF09186FE4.jpg Finally had weather and time. Gaps are diving me nuts but I think I can pop the upper cover off, loosen the hardware of the end caps to the cross beam and retighten to wriggle that gap down to gone. If not I’m just gonna make an add on piece after I get flairs and merge the lines up that way.
I did end up having to fight with the extension bracket nuts but mostly because I decided to semi repurpose a light bar bracket as a spacer to bump out the bumper forward another 1/4” but mounting the bracket behind the extension bracket. Only took me 6 hours but some of that was fiddling with the fog lights(either the adapter harness is no good, or there need a resistor or something to the LED fogs on 19-21’) and clean up time.

The "Shims" are either stacked washers, I used 1/2" set collars, coach builder actually makes a spacer for it.

The bumper is Raptor lined. I spray it at my shop, so I had a kit laying around.

Those that have swapped, do the fender liners behind the bumper still work with the 3rd gen? Didn’t see what was done for that in any of the posts.

No modification to the fender liners was needed.

I tried to put them on, but they hang much lower than the bumper. Did you use the old liners?

Rear bumper won't fit stock you would have to cut the bed to match the angles
