Scored a softtopper for $50 on Sunday! Finally got a chance to put it on.

It came off of a 2014 RAM 3400 short bed (6.5') and fits perfectly.

Headlight and corner light replacement today. Finally was tired of my yellowed ones I cleaned up previously.

    20230518_165528.jpg

Did the "drop in" projector mod that everyone has been doing lately. Got new lights, removed bulb, bent and snipped the inner reflector and wiggled it out. Gonna have to aim them as I drove it tonight and they aren't quite high enough. I got them to what I thought would be a good level but it just doesn't seem high enough. Light output seems really good all things considered. Hard for me to find time when it's dark to aim considering right now I work from sunset to sunrise.

After I got the shiny new headlights in I realized I was gonna have to wash the truck. It's been a year since I had so I figured it was time.

Did Griots plastic restorer on the flares and front bumper plastics and such. Looks pretty decent.

Think total cost for everything was about $160 so not too bad overall. These bulbs paired with the bumper light bar do a really good job of lighting up the road just gotta get the low beams lined up.

Looks great! I want to do the same with the lights and auxiliary lights.

What are the projectors where can I get them as well as the replacement lights housings?

Headlight housings are the CAPA certified Depo headlights that will show on RockAuto if you put in your year truck. Make sure to select CAPA certified when you select the Depo lights.

I would buy them, if only because they are $66.66...
    (Seriously though, Qty 1 = $29.99 but Qty 2 = $66.66?!)

Snuck out for 5 minutes to spray the underside of the left rear shock tower with rustoleum black to help prevent further rusting before the shock install.

Now need to wait an hour and do the right rear axle shock mount to protect the exposed metal from Wednesday’s mangling before any HOA Karen sees me. :spy:

I bought the singles to save a few bucks, and confirmed with the seller: The single bulbs are advertised for motorcycles but are the exact same bulb. In truth, these appear to be the exact same bulb as the "CO" brand bulbs too.

Well I finally got around to installing my mic for my headunit. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it. Looks pretty lowkey and works great. It could use a little filler to make it look cleaner, and the truck could use a good deep clean.

Here's details on how I installed mine - no cutting involved. I have the same head unit. Didn't even really need to remove any panels, just unscrew and slip forward the gauge cluster trim enough to get behind if IIRC, and drop the plug down in.

I contemplated doing it. I'm still maybe a bit scarred from my battle with removing plastic panels in my last truck to pull the headliner. Snapped all to shit. As it is, I've already ripped one of the plastic pushpin provisions on the driver's door.

I'm not pulling my driver's side a-pillar plastics until I find a seamless plug-and-play non-add-a-circuit solution to install a powered rear view mirror, with ACC 12V+ and constant 12V+ line.

Ditto, not that hard to remove the panels and replace them either. They have the metal clips if I recall.

I have a harness, a couple. But none are OEM level plug-and-play. All require splicing somewhere.

I'm trying to decide since the bed on my truck is in not great shape if I want to drop the cash on an aluminum flat bed. Price isn't terrible at right about $3k and it only weighs in at 200lbs.
