Ok my SoCal friends. I now have a set (5) of Toyo Open Country ATII 295 70r18 tires since I went to 37s. One is new it was mounted as the spare for 5 months or so. 2 are over 50% remaining tread, and the other 2 are less than 50% remaining tread.

My question is What do you think would be a fair price for them all? Will be posting to marketplace on the May 11th.

    TIA for your thoughts.

My current size and brand exactly. I’m supposed to be waiting for mine to wear out for 37s but man this is tempting! Great tire GLWS

Thank you for your suggestion.... curious as to what new comparison cost you are considering. New discount tire price is currently $415 per tire.
    which is ompletely nuts

Just from past experiences. Kinda depends on how long you’re willing to store them sometimes.

600 for the set makes sense if you want to move them.

whoa, i just made this comment in 2nd gen thread:

i read a couple accounts about the holes & slots in drilled & slotted rotors filling with dust/dirt/rocks et cetera when wheeling and wearing out brake pads faster than usual. think there's any truth to this? we head out to the dirt roads of the southern california deserts at least once a month, sometimes there's mud after rains. what are your thoughts?
i've always stuck to centric premium rotors and hawk hp5 (i think) pads and have had good luck. but i carry a bit more weight in my tundra with 35s these days especially on camping trips like everyone else and their mother on instagram and would like a little more power over that setup. it's time for new brakes...
think there's any truth in that? i need new brakes but it seems like all the ones with better stopping power are drilled and/or slotted.

Only reason I didn’t go go drilled rotors as I have heard the cause small cracks on the rotor which doesn’t affect anything but just not a fan

From prior experience, I can tell you my drilled rotors did fill with dirt and mud super easily. I feel like drilled rotors, at least on trucks, are a gimmick. Slotted rotors, not so much. They seem to channel the debris out a lot better. My current rotors are only slotted.

Powerstop pads/ rotors are better than OEM, but not by much. Expect the rotors to warp if you put them under serious duty. My Powerstop front rotors had severe warpage to the point I hated touching the brakes by 30k; OEM rotors lasted much longer.

Their calipers? They're fine, as they are just remans that are painted. They'll warranty it if you have piston problems, but don't expect much 'technical' customer support.

I'm pretty high lately on the EBC train for pads/ rotors lately. You don't have to get the super dusty orange-stuff pads, but they have a good bite. I'd consider Stop-tech stuff too, though.
