Any watch collectors here?

My dad has a '63 Submariner he plans on leaving to me. He sent it to Rolex for a full rebuild and it ran him $6k. That was years ago.

 

Damn how have I missed this thread. I don’t collect but I luv to check out what everyone is rocking.

The Moonswatches look great but seem really expensive for a “cheap quartz watch”. You can get some pretty decent autos for $260

I got lucky with the movement, it's sitting. At about +/- 1 sec a day for the past week.

The newer Hamilton Scuba, 300m, no date, 43mm.

I have this Breitling Avenger II Seawolf for sale on ebay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/325590424465). My price there is $3,250 but I'd let it go for less if I can avoid the ebay selling fees. I really like this watch, but I just don't wear it enough to keep it, and I have my eye on a Rolex Milgauss. Comes with box and papers, and was just had regular automatic watch service at Breitling in February.

I just 'collected' an Apple Watch SE2 Cellular+GPS, but I'm fairly sure that's not the kind of watch this is referring to. LOL

 

Turned 40 about a year and a half ago, always told myself that’s when I’d splurge on a watch. Of course prices were way up of late, but finally settled on this Panerai 692. Was worried it may be too big at 47mm, fits just fine though.

 

Very nice! I'm partial to the PAM441 myself, however the for price there are plenty of other things I'd want first. I'm actually about to take ownership of my first wandering hours automatic watch, hopefully sometime in the next couple days

 

My Xeric Vendetta II showed up today. Custom wandering hours movement finished in gunmetal case with purple accents.

My initial impressions are high and the size is perfect for me. I was planning to swap out the band out for a leather one, however the silicone is actually really nice. So far so good

 

My 2005 Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean and 1995 Omega Seamaster 300M. The 300M is my Daily Driver...

 

My grandfather had two watches. If I had my pick, I would have choosen his daily which was a cool automatic without a face that you could watch the mechanism. Instead I got his Piaget dress watch that I rarely saw him wear.



If I am not at my desk or doing construction type work, I roll a GShock.



I'm really rough on rings and watches, so I rarely wear them.
