Hello, new member here. I have a 2019 Toyota tundra crewmax (non jbl). I’m trying to install an aftermarket radio and I ordered the swrty-61N adapter. I have them all plugged into the factory harnesses but I have 3 extra plugs that I’m not sure what I need to do with. I’m thinking one is for satellite radio but wasn’t sure if I’m missing adapters or not. Any advice is helpful

One is for your GPS antenna. I'm not really sure what the others are for but I would try to use it and see what does't work. Mine had a few extra plugs left over but it works just fine so I left it alone.

    ^

    Of the 2 round connectors;
One is GPS the other is the Sirius/XM antenna.

I'll dig around in a minute and see if I can figure out the black connector..
Is the black connector coming from the truck or the adapter?

    What HU are you installing?

Installing a Boss BE9ACP-C. The black connector is coming from the truck.

Yeah, the two round ones are satellite. The black 8-pin I just don’t remember seeing, and I can’t find it in any of my installation pictures. Did something get added in 2019?

The 8 pin connector is for your AC climate control panel...
    DOH.............homersimpson_4debdef2ab4deb05321dd8a9aeadc8e986d90874.gif

I knew it looked familiar, it just took a while to figure it out..
I can't tell you how many times I've pulled my HU and forgot to plug that back in.:D

Happy to be here! And you know, I just figured that out when putting things back together lol. After connecting everything, the SRS Airbag System Malfunction light popped on. Any ideas for that?

If you didn't disconnect the battery when you installed the HU, you might try disconnecting it for 10 or 15 minutes and let everything reset.
The truck probably won't start on the first try, but it will on the second.

If that doesn't fix it try a search in the forum.
Maybe something came unplugged while you were in the dash..

The light went away after plugging the climate control back in. I guess it makes sense since the airbag sensor light is on that panel

How did your install turn out? Did you take any pictures ? Do you like the HU? I'm pretty underwhelmed at the factory HU so I'm planning an upgrade.

I'm looking at this exact same model of receiver from Crutchfield with that wiring harness. Did you keep all of your steering wheel controls? Because that's important to me, I love my SWC. If you did lose any, which ones?

My steering wheel controls were supposed to work, but after several conversations with manufacturer in China, I still have none. Stick with major brands, or you can have major lag - one to 3 seconds between touch screen selections. Also, I purchased an aftermarket backup camera for the unit, since my 2007 Crewmax did not have one. The camera is part of the handle replacement. The handle quality is good, but the camera's (which seem to be all the same on eBay at least) are NOT wide angle, which means you can't see the trailer hitch, or the edges of the bumpers or more than 5' behind the vehicle.

I saved $500 buying a Chinese brand and installing it myself, but stick with Crutchfield or Best Buy with a major manufacturer.

The ol "You get whatcha paid for" comes to mind. Unfortunately, these days you gotta pay a lot for basic quality.
