PSI recommended for Falken Wildpeak AT3 285/65/18 on stock wheels.

I'm running the same tire brand and size but at 48psi. It rides very smooth.

 

I called Falken today to get the tire pressure that I should be running in a 275/70/18. They asked what the OEM tire were, etc. Falken calculated I should be running the following psi for normal day to day driving:

Front: 47 psi
Rear: 50 psi

Tire should be filled after vehicle has been sitting for at least 3 hours.

Do those numbers seem high to anyone?

 

Not really. My door sticker for 285/55/20 D rated KO2s shows 46 PSI.

 

Bump to see if we can get direct Falken feedback on the LT295/70R18 load range E (129/126). I just mounted these up.
Looking at the Falken charts, it appears that the pressure in these should be way lower than what is being thrown around for the 275's. For the 295's, the data I see on the Falken site shows 35psi for 2295lb and 2520lb for 40psi.

I started off at 45psi on a quick drive yesterday, and it is certainly not unbearable, but stiffer than the P tires I replaced. The chart shows 2735lb at 45PSI, which would be well over the Tundra's max capacity per the door jam, etc.
