This noise is definitely in the rear suspension somewhere. Only happens at low speed when going over speed bumps, entering/exiting driveways, etc. I would describe it as a creaking noise.

Only 38000 miles on my Car.

Has anyone has this with their highlander?

My Highlander (2019 with 11k miles) does the same thing. I just need to schedule an appointment to have it looked at.

    **UPDATE**
I found that the problem is a creaky rear trailing arm bushing. There is a TSB on it, but I'm out of warranty. Another forum member lubricated with silicone lubricant and said that lasted years. I did the same. So far, no creak.

If I was in warranty I'd have them replaced. For now, this is an acceptable fix.

I don't have access right now, but there is a toyota website somewhere that will show you TSB's on your vehicle. You may want to mention that to the shop.

I'm REALLY late on my reply to this... :D

I didn't even realize it, but my Highlander is out of warranty. Tried to take it in, thinking it would be covered, and realized that I was past the 36 months! So I'll try to address this myself. It's really annoying.

I sprayed silicone lubricant on the rubber bushings last summer. It solved the problem. The squeaking when away for a long time, but it is now starting to come back. Will probably have to re-apply every year. Not terribly hard to do.

Good to know it wasn't too hard to do. I still need to get around to doing this.
