Can't say if exact same, CB should be able to clear that up.

So if I have this right/understand correctly, you can achieve rear lift with leaf springs, extended shackles, or a combination of the 2. The added height creates more range for the suspension to cycle, which is undesired cause it will cause the leaf springs to flatten. To offset the increased range of cycling, higher/larger bumps stops are needed to limit the range of cycling?

I would add that the higher the arch of the spring, the more support you need to keep a heavier than normal (whatever the springs are rated at) load from compressing the leaves down more than they're intended to go otherwise flattening occurs over time.

That's probably a horrible run-on sentence but I'm a Math teacher by trade so....

As I previously mentioned above, don't forget to add in driveshaft/pinion angle adjustment/compensation and brakeline length extension. You don't want torn brake lines when it goes into full droop/articulation or premature/constant failure of ujoints.

I think the TRD Pro has the brake line extension bracket. And my CB +2's have the carrier bearing drop spacers. Is that what you're referring to?

Not sure what is included in any specific pkgs. Just highlighted some of the simple things that should be taken into consideration to keep everything functional as a whole. At the same time, I'm also posting for anyone else who might try to reference the thread in the future.

The CB shackles are sold individually and in a kit with the bearing spacers.

So I have everything I need for the install minus the rear shocks. Last question, currently I have Bilstein 5160's in the rear which are good for up to 1.5 inches of lift. I'm setting the Icon's to option 2 which is 3 inches of lift. My rear shocks are on backorder and won't be in for 4 weeks. I also have about 150lbs in the back which should take the lift down closer to 2-1/4 inches. Any danger in doing the lift with the current shocks? Or should I hold off and wait for the rears to come in. I wont be towing/hauling anytime soon. Work is slow this week and it's perfect weather, but if it's best to wait I will.

Its fine for now. The weight of the truck will compress the shocks a couple inches, maybe more. That's plenty of downtravel for road conditions. I'd be more worried about bottoming the shock which is a far more likely scenario with shackle lifts.

The problem is, should you for some reason hit a dip in the road and gain a little air or suspension droop, the springs could extend with great force and literally pull the short shocks apart or damage the mounts. There are two options, one is limit straps and the other one is shock extensions which add length to the threaded stem on the shock with a male thread on one end and a female on the other that matches the shock stem thread. Again, it's a whole system that needs to be right to be fully functional and one thing leads to several others. I'd wait.

This may or may not be what you need, just an example of what I described above.

That thing is just a bandaid waiting for trouble... This will literally push the shock body down, making things worse on full compression without adequate bumps.
Damage due to full droop is less likely on these shocks as the valving is rather slow on rebound. Both scenarios are not ideal.
As you said, it NEEDS to be right.

Up to you @Nbab23. 4 weeks can fly by.

Yeah I'll wait guys, thanks for the input. I have projects around the home waiting to be done, just not as fun though ha.
