Yeah pics of where you have it located would be cool. I know @empty_lord has an exhaust cutout on his (as well as full custom exhaust). Seems like I remember him saying that the resistance caused by the muffler causes the exhaust to just go out of the "open" pipe.

Definitely considering doing this now if I can get it installed for the right price. Wouldn't figure it'd be too bad.

when the valve is closed the exhaust is forced through a standard style muffler. with the valve open its allowed straight through

Wish I knew more about it. No brand name or markings that I could identify. It was aluminum. Looks similar to the A.R.E. Classic Aluminum Series. It has a 3rd brake light that looks similar to the A.R.E. ones. The guy at the Cap World accessory store said it was probably a $2000 shell when it came out. I got it for $200. Flipped it for $550. Put $120 into new lifters. Probably could've gotten away with a pair less but whatever. In great shape. Windows flipped up. Not sure how it impacted MPG. I miss being able to only stand slightly hunched when I was in there organizing and stuff.

It's kind of amazing. I can't find ANY other photos of a cap that looks like the extra tall/high rise aluminum cap. Interesting. I wonder if a local cap company would know more if you sent them the photo.

Update... okay this is the closest I've found.

Well, I just spoke with Colin at Speedi-Bleed. He's going to send me out the C800 Toyota adapter on Monday with a tracking number. He said I can keep the Honda adapter.

I'll have to see who in my family owns a Honda. Might be a good way to spread the word by me letting others use the Honda one with my kit. haha

I bought new tires today. $950 for nothing special with service to match.

    Am I being petty?

The kids in the shop jacked up the front end under the splash pan and tweaked it. I know it's not a Ferrari, but these kids must have grown up playing with Barbies.

The person who drove it into the shop must have been 3 feet tall because there were signs of a struggle to get in and I got muddy boot prints on my floor mats.

Some tires are marked with a little red/yellow "O" to indicate where the valve stems are supposed to line up. Apparently nobody knows this, now I have five tons of balancing weights on my rims.

I'm putting my truck on jack stands and taking the rims in next time I need tires. Nearly a thousand dollars for this crap.

I would have said something about splash pan to the manager and have him discount the tires. All the weights tell me they don’t know how to properly mount the tire on the balancer to get repeatable measurements.

I was thinking the same thing, Discount tire has always been great for me. They even hand torqued my lug nuts last time when I requested! I was tired of shops over torquing them and me either having trouble removing them, or breaking 3 or so bolts in the process of removing.

I've had pretty good service from discount tire. I was considering their Pathfinder tires, but I ultimately went with a different tread pattern that they did not carry. I would probably go with Discount if I could return my tires at this point.

Yup, I think maximum for on-road is 2oz, isn't it? If I saw anything more than 3-4oz and it's a new wheel, if the shop knows what they're doing, I'd be returning it, it's potentially bent or out of round, but then again a reputable shop would've probably told you the same?

I've also read "No more than 1% of the weight of the assembled wheel" as the maximum, but anything more than 3-4oz and I'm asking questions. I've talked about my Discount experiences on here before. I've never had a bad time there, not that I recall. And their road hazard warranty has save me ample $$.
