I agree with shackling the rear. If that still doesn’t cut it, do the 500lb. I’ve got that setup and it’s nice. (I have the 2.0 r in the rear though.

My 500lbs aren’t soft so I can’t speak on the 700lbs. I have no sway bars and on full soft(open) up front it still feels pretty planted.

so I called Fox regarding 500lb vs 700 and said for highway, the 500 would be fine but if offroad, they may bottom out. Fox did state they have a 600lb coil available.

That being said, how do your shocks with the 500lb coils do on the fire roads, bumpy gravel roads, etc at speed?

I’m not going to be doing anything crazy offroad but just want the truck to feel planted and handle well on fire roads etc.

Did you call Fox? or @AccuTune Offroad ? I went specifically with the 500lb at AccuTune's suggestion. I have 4x4 crewmax, aluminum skids (RCI engine, trans, cats), no big bumpers, no winch, but have a topper, and a family of 4. They didn't even push me into the 2.5 rear, just suggested the 2.0 rr. I opted for the "adventure tune".

On the road they feel a lot like the 6112 with (650lb? coils that they ship with), but slightly more forgiving. Off-road testing has been minimal as I put them on right before winter, but so far they feel good (comfortable and controlled).

I'm not jumping it with 1500lbs of gear/family in it. YMMV.

Edit: I leave the DSC at the softest setting around town and highway unless I’m hauling weight. The dials seem to work well, but i’m no expert and ride quality to some degree is subjective.

If the ride quality and functionality are satisfactory then I wouldn’t over think it. Spending a bunch of money should yield what you hoped for, but maybe let things settle and see if the shackle lift in the back or a winch bumper are better options. I hope you make it work for your needs. Good luck and feel free to reach out if you have questions about my setup. Plenty of more knowledgeable folks on here than me, but I’m happy to help if I can.

    Sir:

Thank you very much. Everybody on here has been nothing but a great help. You’re right, I am probably overthinking it some. Thanks for offering to learn from your setup.

    Update:
So I ordered the 500 lbs coils. Front end of the truck is still higher than the back even with preload backed off all the way- just not as bad as when the 700 lbs springs were on the truck. Will probably put a 3/4” shackle to level the truck out the best I can.

I’m just baffled that the 500 lb coils didn’t allow the front end to drop more.

    Thanks again for everyone’s suggestions.
