I bought the 9" before looks to be similar to the 11.6", in the sense that they both come with a bezel and are supposed look factory mounted. However, (I'm pretty sure the 11.6" is like this to from the pictures" there are no holes for the factory side brackets to mount to the unit, so you're really depending on the two front plastic clips to keep it in place.

If memory serves me right there may be a thread floating around somewhere that shows you where to drill (either on the bracket or the unit, but most likely the bracket) so that it will fit, but I didn't proceed with that route. I ended up returning the 9" and got the 13.3", and I'm pretty happy with the 13.3". It does stick out a bit from factory, but the tradeoff is that you get a much bigger screen. I think the 13.3" is also 1080P whereas the smaller screens are 720P. I got the SCOUT version FWIW, but I mostly utilize the CarPlay. I don't utilize the Android software too much, and I did upgrade the SCOUT software maybe two more times last year.

The FCAM app honestly kind of sucks - it does what it's supposed to and lets me view my front and rear cameras, but you have to go through 2-3 different screens before you're able to access it. (Home -> Main Menu -> Frac) I actually had the FRAC harness installed before I got the Dasaita, and going from FRAC to hooking up Dasaita wasn't too much of a pain for me. The rear camera hooked up effortlessly using the provided connectors, and all I had to do to connect the front camera was put the front video input and tie in the power connector for the front camera. Like I mentioned before, the FCAM app sucked and I lamented my woes on this very thread. @TundraTex saw my post and informed me that based on how the FRAC was engineered, you can actually hook up the FRAC harness to the Dasaita with no issue (2014 Tundra here). It's such a genius product and I use the FRAC since it's so easy to switch from whichever screen I am on; I can't compliment TundraTex enough. For those that are nerdy in wiring, he even connected passthroughs for every single port(?) in the connectors, even though your Tundra may not use them.

The 2011 reverse cameras had to be DIY right? If so, if the screen changes to the reverse camera when you put the car in reverse, you've confirmed that your rear video signal input from the camera is set up correctly. The only thing that is missing then would be getting power to the camera's power cable. If that power cable to the camera is getting it's power from the reverse lights, you'll need to draw it back into the cab and into the reverse power wire coming from the Dasaita unit.

I think I have a working solution. Well....It's working on my work bench. I bought my 2011 used but the previous owner did the rearview mirror hack and ran an rca cable to the driver side piller. When I pulled the factory radio out I found the rca cable tied up under the dash. I plugged that into the rear cam rca input on the back of the Dasaita head unit and ran the trigger wire to the reverse wire in the passenger side kick panel. So that works great. My solution was to buy the Frac Harness 3 way switch and the intelligent 3 way video switcher on Amazon. The Frac 3way switch triggers the front camera or rear camera and over rides what is on the Dasaita screen without having to go into the Fcam app on the head unit. I've attached a picture of the parts I needed. I did have to order some diodes so I can isolate the reverse trigger wire since it will be used by the stereo and the Frac switch. In theory this should work and I have tested the front camera on my work bench.
In my younger years many years ago, I used to be a car stereo installer so I know enough to be dangerous. :)

I've read through all 74 pages (maybe skipping a few words here and there) before installing my 11.6" device. For what it's worth, they included an app on the radio that allows for customizing all the vehicle settings found on the stock radio. Including the beep when you lock/unlock the doors and such. The app is "control settings". If someone mentioned this already, sorry for the repost. Thanks everyone for the prior posts, they helped with my install. Took a while, but I took my time with front camera and made sure everything worked before putting everything back in. Oh, and this was in a 2019 Crewmax SR5. 20230219_191953.jpg

I am looking to install the 10.2 unit in my 2020 tundra.

    Do I want the max11 or vivid11?
Do these units have wired or wireless Android Auto?
Will it work with a 2020 (it's advertised as 2014-2018)?

I have the MAX10 and like it. I’ve heard some folks not liking the VIVID OS. There was also an app that you could get to mimic the VIVID OS some people tried out as well.

I thought the 10.2” was only for the 2007-2013. The 2014+ was either 9” or the larger floating screens like 11.6” or bigger?

I want the largest screen I can fit in the factory opening. I thought that was the 10.2. I'll have to call them and ask a few questions to see if this will work with my 2020

I think the 13.3" will fit. Should be a double din unit that the screen attaches to just like my 11.6".

Hello, I’m new to this forum and I’ve been intensely reading up on this thread as I just installed the Dasaita 10.2” HU in my 2012 Sequoia Platinum with JBL.

The issue I’m having is most of the sound comes out of the center dash speaker and barely out of the front door speakers when the fade is set to the middle. When I try to fade to the rear to compensate, I lose almost all sound. Is there something I’m missing in the settings? I have messed with the amplifier settings a bunch but can’t figure it out. My Canbus is set to 08 Camry&Rav4. Everything else is working great (steering wheel controls and backup camera).

I thought I’ve seen where that’s the wrong CANbus setting when that occurs. But I could be wrong. For my 2013 Tundra Limited that is my CANbus setting, maybe it’s different for the Sequoia Platinum?

Who did you buy it from? I would reach out to them to confirm.

I bought it from Amazon. Only reason why I feel like I already have the right Canbus setting is because back up camera and steering wheel controls work just fine. Also, there’s only one option in settings for the Canbus brand that I have(Simple). I’ll try reaching out to the seller and ask, I just was curious if anybody came across a solution on this thread.

Has anyone installed the Dasaita HS2220in a 2014-2019 Tundra? Just wonder if it sits completely flush like it shows in the pictures on Amazon.

Sorry if this has been covered in a different post, but I have not seen any answers.

I have a 2014 sequoia platinum. Has anyone found a way for the car settings app to work real time, or is this just one of those wishful thinkin apps.

From what I’ve seen with mine in person and online videos their images appear to be true to their actual final product.

Hey all, is there a way to get the radio volume separate from the other apps? When I turn volume up on another app and then revert back to radio, I get blown away! Also, cannot figure out how to change radio stations from the steering wheel control.

If you go into the factory settings there is a “voice” tan where you can configure the volume level for each setting like radio vs Bluetooth.
There is also a setting to configure the function of each steering wheel control.

Can anyone advise what the average shipping time is to receive one of these Dasaita stereos if ordered directly from Dasaita?

It looks like the support from that site is limited and I can't seem to get anyone to answer anything. Having that experience with the site I know just what I will be in for if I buy directly from them with the hassle of non-English speaking peeps and the turnaround time or competency with the support. I will try to buy everything on Amazon with a return guarantee and a hassle-free experience.

    I was looking at the larger screen size (13.3') and see that Amazon has 3 different models and non-specific additional harnesses or adapters that are needed. I was hoping to put together a package with all that i might need to install this unit and wanted to seek some help;
Here are the three models, I can tell the difference between them only by the price

    One
    https://www.amazon.com/Dasaita-Wire...4011&rps=1&sprefix=ha2208,aps,105&sr=8-1&th=1

    Two
    https://www.amazon.com/Dasaita-Mult...4011&rps=1&sprefix=ha2208,aps,105&sr=8-2&th=1

    Three
    https://www.amazon.com/Dasaita-Navi...4011&rps=1&sprefix=ha2208,aps,105&sr=8-3&th=1

What are the harnesses I will need for a 2015 non-JBL, that has a small amp under the passenger seat and any adapters to use the existing XM, Mic, and Steering Wheel Controls?

Any dash kits for the 13' as well?

    Thank you,

    @Norfolk757

I believe any of those three options will work the same, their baked-in 'Scout' vs 'Vivid' interface is about the only difference I believe. I personally selected a slightly smaller screen one that was specifically designed for the Tundra itself. With those, there's no guesswork or extra harnesses needed, it's all directly set to go in the box.

For getting rid of the under-seat fake amp thing, you just need this harness set up to loop back into itself (color-coded, easy easy stuff) and you can tuck it away under the carpet, and remove the 'amp' entirely. The headunit makes more power than the amp there.

Thank you so much for that info @MedCityMoto Im not sure what is the difference between Scout and Vivid but it sounds like the Vivid would be the better picture. I just need to figure out which one is which. Also, i completely agree on the screen size and extra harness that might be needed, just getting older i like to have a bigger screen for better visibility... I hope to gather all i need and get a price in mind so i can justify this to the boss :spending:

I added the harness to the cart, thanks again, brother.

I am a new (used) Tundra owner!!!

I got an 18 CM SR5 TRD off road with non JBL stuff.

The non-infotainment system is the worst thing about the truck and I want to upgrade it. I love the truck otherwise. Has anyone said they wished they had NOT went with Dasaita?

    I'm looking at the
Dasaita 10.2 Android 11 model specifically.

Thanks, tomorrow I install my new tonneau cover and possibly do the first oil change.

12” Bulletproof Lift, AFE CAI, AFE Exhaust, rock lights, Fas-Top tonneau and soft topper, Dasaita 10.2” radio, light bar, ditch lights, LED headlights and fog lights, LED interior lights, Amp Research rear bumper step, dashcam, BT ODBII reader and Torque app on radio
I have the Dasaita 10.2 with MAX 10. No regrets except I like the 11.6 they have now. But I didn’t want something that looked like I just slapped a large screen into my dash, I wanted something more OEM looking.

I’ve only had a couple issues like a BT issue, and I have an update I need to try to see if it fixes it.
Otherwise, I’m completely happy with my purchase. But I did just by a Tesla type radio for my car, but putting another $1,200 into a radio for the truck is hard to justify.

    2019 Tundra 1794 Edition
I am gonna be moving back to Cali. I am going back to the Bay Area. I have 2019 Tundra 1794 edition. I bought it used with a trifold tonneau cover, AMP Research Running Boards, 20 in. Fuel Wheels, Falken Wildpeak 295/60R20, dual TRD exhaust and a 2.5 in. level kit. I changed the suspension to a Bilstein 8112 & 8100 coilovers, Icon tubular UCAs, Icon leaf spring expansion pack. I used to have '21 Tundra TRD Pro Lunar Rock, but I made the dumbest decision of my life and traded it in for a 22 JLU Wrangler Willys. The Wrangler is my wife's car, so I made the decision for her because the Jeep Wrangler was her dream car. I also built it up 35s and 2.5 in spacer lift. Thus, I wanted to build my 1794 Tundra like my old TRD Pro.
Hey guys! I just bought and installed the 13.3 inch Dasaita head unit for my 2019 Tundra 1794 with JBL. However, the steering controls and trucks sound system aren't working. I didn't connect the ground from the head unit because I am not sure where it goes. I am also having a hard time to connect Apple Carplay to it because the icons in the user manual aren't the same in the 13.3 hu. Also, is there a way to use the truck's mic instead of the Dasaita's hu? Can someone help me out?
