I just picked up 97 T100 4x4 5vz 5spd with 338k miles. She needs a lot of love. Curious to see what others have done and what tips they have.

Edit: I plan to restore it to health and supercharge it. Going to find some 16 or 17 ich Toyota or Lexus wheels to replace the ugly 80s muscle car 15s.

My daily driver is a 1997 T100 4X4 V6 factory 5 speed manual that I bought new from the dealer. 265,000+ miles. 3,000 miles ago I switched from dino oil to full synthetic engine oil. Otherwise I've done nothing. She just keeps singing.

Mine had the timing belt done 10k miles ago. But everything under the truck is covered in oil and grease. So I gotta find the leaks and replace the seals and gaskets. It runs but its rough, lots a vibes. Check engine light came on a few hours after I bought it so I need to read the code(s). Parking brake is broken. Radio needs to be replaced (I already have a touch screen for it), door locks are fucked, cup holders broken, needs new carrier bearing, needs new shocks and struts. Needs new air filter. Probably needs all fluids drained and filled. It likes to pop out of 1st gear if I don't hold it there until I shift to 2nd. Seems to rev high in 5th going 70-80mph it's right under to right above 3k RPMs. Not sure if that's normal since my previous 5vz trucks with PreRunner tacos with auto trans.
But the body is in good shape and the frame is too.
