Yep. Coworker gave it to me. With mounting that and a fridge slide, I'm thinking about doing it with rivnuts. Easy removal for bed cleaning or if I need the hauling space. I was just looking at the kits on Amazon.

I bought this, as I never had a Rivnut kit. This is super easy to use, small enough to use in the engine bay and the fender wells. I’ve never had a problem with it. Comes with a bunch of rivnuts too, don’t forget to order the SS bolts too.

Tomorrow is 2 years since I got the truck, also marks the end of Toyota Care so I had the 20k service done. Rolled in the shop with 14,936 miles

also had them install the metal oil filter housing.

Eh…they’re definitely my choice for blind fastening especially in softer substrates like composites and plastics.

Installed 15 row cooler from genuine cooling systems on Friday, have not seen above 195 as compared to 223-238 so I'm happy, here is the only pic I took not that it's that great but there is not much to take a pic of

Yes. But the ones I've got, they required a longer threaded shaft. I had to modify my crappy cheap tool.

Crossnuts are much stronger and you don't need to drill a precise hole like rivnut needs.

What's up fellas. It's been a min but today was a good day man. Got a chance to finally install my Vled footwell lights. Took me about 1 hr 1/2 because I shaved a part for the dim switch so it would sit nice and flush. Here it is and I must say it's well worth it. Included a shot with all the Vleds on at the end. Can't use the excuse of not being able to find anything anymore in this truck lol. Enjoy your weekend fellas

Gave it an identity crisis. I cropped the Tundra out of the first pic because it wasn’t really sure if it wants to transition from just groceries to real truck stuff yet.

Went to rigs and coffee saw some nice gen 3s one was my buddies pro who plans on full LT. The other is on an icon kit with 37s. Then a flex request was asked so who was I to deny them. Also had to run up to Washington to meet @CaptRussia253 for some wheels for my buddy. Awesome to meet you! Had to send my buddy some teaser pics of his wheels lol

Yes if I'm locked up in 6th gear on highway I will be around 223 when it shifts down or I need a little more power that is when it starts to climb a bit

I think the design of this oil filter system is pathetic. I have yet to be able to get the smaller piece out before the entire filter housing and filter come out, causing a HUGE mess every time. Every time I try to turn that smaller piece, it turns the entire housing. I've removed after draining the oil, put in a new o-ring, put it back in somewhat loosely only to have it turn the entire housing next oil change. I hate it. I have given up hope I can ever get it to work as designed.

Check the build link in my signature.
I’ve never had that issue on my ‘08 or ‘21 - over 300k miles worth of oil changes. I torque both to factory spec, use new o-rings with a light coat of fresh oil each time, and use one of the thread-in drain tools with a hose for draining the canister every time. :notsure:

I’m probably not the norm, but I prefer this system over the single-unit filters, especially on my daughter’s 2008 Forester. I can’t remove that filter without making a damn mess every time.

of course, the design on the 2017 Forester is the best - filter is a regular spin-on and sits threads-down In the front of the engine bay with a handy little “pan” around it. No mess, easy access, stupid simple.

Easiest design I've ever had was a 1st generation Kia Sedona van. The V6 had a cartridge filter on top of the engine. It just had a cap, almost like a lid on a jar, so you just unscrewed the lid, took out the old and dropped a new filter in.

Started my camper build in the back. Build the sleeping platform and a 5ft drawer underneath. Just need to build a counter/shelf on the other side and then waterproof the whole thing.

I have leftover white deck paint from my raft trailer, so I’m debating between painting it all white or just polystaining the wood a more natural color.
