Yes. I have the factory bed rails, and you just lower them during the cover install. It's pretty easy - the installation directions for the cover will tell you how to lower the bed rails.

Started out with TonnoPro tri-fold. A few months later, found a killer deal on a Bakflip FiberMax through RealTruck which forced my hand on the Bakflip, I bought that & listed my Tonno Pro in the Marketplace.

(I see @SantanaRealtruck on here and he has a great thread on Tonneaus here if anyone is interested)

Nothing wrong with the Tonno Pro, super easy on/off, and a reasonable water-tight cover. I didn't realize standing or sleeping on my bed could be important back then and the Bak products were 3x-4x as much coin. The Bak products are totally worth the extra money, but I'd prefer a buy-in around $600. I got mine for around $500.

MX4 just installed a couple weeks ago, very happy so far. Ran it through the car wash and stayed very dry inside, a tiny bit of water in one back corner.

Got the t-Slot rails to accommodate adding racks next. Relocates factory rails a couple inches down.

Got a new Diamondback hd with Yakima overhaul hd racks. Ordered on Black Friday and got last week. Posted a few pics in other threads. I have never seen a DB on a tundra 8’ bed before getting mine. The front and rear panels are 40” long! It’s been going pretty good. Nice hauling plywood/drywall inside and fiberglass insulation on top. Here’s a few pics.

I installed a Gator trio hard cover….probably would NOT recommend this one but it will get me by some time…1.don’t like that it is not flush mount 2. The middle section does not clamp down and one can lift it up (about .5”) 3. The handle system must be folded flat before flipping or you will damage the top…
I had a Gator on my previous truck (Silverado). But can’t find the same style I had

This is exactly the setup I would like for my 2023 Tundra TRD Pro. Did the rails come with the yakima rack?

Do you like this setup better than the MX4?

I think it will be better. One reason I like this is when towing the trailer, and you needed something in the truck bed, w/ the MX4 I had to open the tailgate (carefully) and crack open the tonneau. With this Retrax I don't have to open the tailgate.

The t slot tracks were my main factor, so I can run a RTT now for solo camping, or some bike carrier trays (when towing the trailer)

Got the tonneau installed on my way home from work today! Was in and out in less than 30 minutes. $289 CAD cash, free install and 2 year warranty. Drove through rain showers most of the way home. Not a drop!

Just gotta toss this question out there….so many pics with all the effort to hide your license plates. Do you worry about someone seeing them while you’re driving around, or is this just some forum etiquette I’m unaware of?

Are you still liking your X4s, if you still have it? I am looking to make a final decision for my 24

Looking at the X4s for my new 24 - if you still have it do you still like it or would you go a different direction?
