Yes. The FRAC harness ties into the rear camera and provides a single additional input RCA port for the front camera or any other video feed you want to give it. As @PMG stated, you could provide an input to the FRAC harness from an external video switch that has any number of additional inputs.

OK guys. FRACv2 production has begun. There are still a few outstanding tasks to get fully underway, but I can now announce initial pricing.

The full-function, plug and play FRACv2 harness, with anytime camera and GPS enable will be $179.00 plus applicable tax and shipping.

This pricing is effective for the first production lot of 100 units. EDIT: I am planning to start taking orders and payments the last week of August with anticipated shipping starting in Mid September.

A lot has happened since I made the crazy decision in June (only 2 months ago?!?) to build some harnesses for a few guys. It's been an interesting journey, and I can't think of a better group of folks to have shared it with.

Now I need to get to the shop and get to it!

@Stig The equivalent function from them is $325.00. That product does not provide the Nav Vehicle in Motion function that is included in the FRAC harness. You can add on the VIM capability from them for an extra $150 on top of their camera harness.

Thank you for the great question and for your interest in the FRAC harness!

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know a lot about this mod and had looked into the beat sonic a while back before you started selling your version so I was just checking what the differences might be.

Happy to support a forum member even though I'm having trouble justifying $200+ just for a front camera!

I asked about wiring up the three switches to my switch pros controller. Is that something you are still going to offer?

I know it's probably not a lot of work to do for the two switches on my end, but you mentioned the GPS portion needs a relay? It would be nice to have everything as close to being done and ready to be wired as possible; and I would like the extra length of wire to run into the engine compartment through the firewall on the passenger side then over to the fuse box area.

I would be willing to pay a little more.

I can work something up if you provide a little more info. Where is your switchpros unit installed? A picture would be helpful. There should be no need to run any wiring to the engine bay fuse panel. All the fusing and power you need will come from either the switchpros unit or the FRAC harness.

The brain of the switch pros, and where everything gets wired to, is currently mounted on top of the fuse box. In order for whatever accessory to get turned on using the panel inside the cab by my shifter, it has to be wired to the brain.

I would like to control the FRACv2 using my switch pros controler.

    Does that info help?

Got it. My suggestion is that when you run your camera wiring through the firewall, also run 3 switch wires from your desired SwitchPros Power module circuits along with it. I would use 18 AWG stranded wire. I will add everything else you need to connect your 3 switchpro lines to your FRACv2 harness. All you'll have to do is connect the 3 wires to the leads I will provide. I'll also include the 3 connectors you'll need to connect to the three wires from the engine bay. One line will be for the Forward Cam switch, one for the Rear Cam switch, and one for the VIM enable switch on your SwitchPros. Program these three switches to be ignition triggered.

Once everything is connected, you'll have one switch for forward, one for Rear, and one for VIM enable. Operationally the rear camera view will always override the fwd camera. So if you ever have both forward and rear turned on at the same time, you'll get rear cam video. It will add $20 to the cost of your FRAC harness.

Let me know if that's what you would like to do.

The current FRAC Harness design works with 3rd Gen Tundras. 2nd Gen compatibility is on my future project list.

The FRAC Harness provides two capabilities; selection of Front or Rear camera display at any time, and Vehicle In Motion enable for GPS data entry and other HU functions.
