Does anybody know if I can buy a harnesses to add cargo lights? I’ve found the wires for the light on the tailgate. But don’t really want to splice them. I’ve got a limited that came with a tonneau cover, but no lights in the bed.

I added bed lights to my 2015 by adding a relay, appropriately-sized wiring, some LED rock lights, in-line fuse, and a waterproof switch. Didn't have to splice a thing. I would run the wiring myself vs trying to find/buy a harness to fit my needs.

I thought it would be slick if they turned on automatically when I opened the tailgate.

Instead of using a switch you press to turn on/off, you could mount a pressure switch that would turn the lights on when the tailgate is opened. I prefer a switch I can turn on/off so that I can control the lights whenever needed.

So do you have the cargo light, or does your limited have the light in the tailgate handle ?

With some basic knowledge of wiring and a relay you can do the same

If so, I just got done following this write-up. I did not add puddle lights, but instead I used the small gauge white wire from the step #6 / picture #6. I used that white wire to trigger a 12V relay that I mounted in my passenger kick panel. I did not trust that white wire to provide enough amperage to run additional lights, even though I added LED lights to my bed. I ran a fuse protected wire to my battery and found a thread stud in the passenger kick panel to provide a good ground. Underneath the passenger seat there was a rubber grommet to run a 2 conductor wire from the interior to the bed of the truck.

Here were the lights I purchased from Amazon
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KXR799K?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

I mounted them with the included 3M tape to the underside of my bed rails. I was able to cut about 4" of the end of them, where the cut mark is shown.

When any door opens including the tailgate, the lights turn on. They can also be turned on with the switch by my knee for bed lights.
