Nevermind, found your post in the Method 705 thread... nice rig.

Currently looking at wheels and mind fckd with all the options combo of wheel specs and tire size that will go on my 2.5 gen not lifted SR5 without any cutting/trimming etc.

Fairly new to the Tundra family (just over a month and a half). I'm in the Cypress area.

I was looking for something with low mileage and found an '08 double cab with a clean title, one owner, extensive maintenance records since new, and only 74k on the clock so I just couldn't pass it up! Actually hit 74k on the nose right when I got it home and rolled into the driveway. Just a base model but I was looking for reliability and utility, and got that in spades. And the features I want that it doesn't have just mean I have some fun projects to do. ;)

The original owner had left a pretty nasty stain across most of the carpet with a few splashes on the back of the seats. Originated from an area where I could see that there used to be a child seat (no big surprise there, haha). I was able to talk the price down a bit because it needed so much cleaning. Then I got it home, used some carpet and upholstery cleaner and got it looking nice and clean as you can see in the pics.

I don't suppose anyone around Houston has a set of these center caps from 18" wheels you'd like to get rid of? Mine are cracked so I'd just like to get some that are in better shape.

Afternoon Houston people, I recently got a job offer and am now moving to your giant city. After looking for a week at different areas we put an offer on a home in Crosby. Do you guys or gals have any tips about the place?

    Also here is my tundra.IMG_20221016_160417031.jpg

I'm not too familiar with that part of town because I live on the NW side of Houston (and Houston is 2 hours away from Houston, haha). But welcome to the area, and nice truck!

It's a growing rural town. Their ISD committed to a 4 day work week next school year. That's about all I know.

Welcome to Houston. Like others have said Crosby is a rural town. So it really depends what you're looking for...rural town or more city life? I would suggest living near your work because the commute can be overwhelming.

I lived in Galveston and drove to Herman park area every morning! I then move to Gessner and 59 and it took me the same if not most times longer to get to Herman Park than the drive from Galveston!!:)

Yep, best thing to do is make the drive before you commit to a new commute

And this was in the early 80s before there was a 288 (or just beginning building it) and traffic has not gotten any better. They keep packing people in there. I wonder if the (any) City planners will ever say enough? They keep pouring more and more people in!!

Conroe used to be a long drive!:)

It's not like they have the power to stop ppl from moving in. Otherwise, Seattle would've been closed to newcomers decades ago

Hey y’all new to Tundra space but old to the htown. Had a 2014 Sierra All Terrain and decided to make the jump with a SR5 Off Road. Got a couple idea with mods and fairly handy under the hood (I rebuilt Sierra from the block up during the heat wave of June ‘22 in my driveway). Hoping to add some value and learn some things along the way!
