I was recently able to find the motobecane grand jubile bike. I was wondering if any one here think it’s worth anything?

Nice shape, double-butted frame, maybe Columbus or Reynolds 531 steel -- would have loved being able to afford that circa 1971 when that was a premium bike and I was at a fairly low level of brokeness in college days.

Probably worth a few hundred as it sits. Looks to be in nice shape. A big part of the value is what type of tubing they used, and of course what components are on it. The next model up, the Grand Record, had some Campy on it that made it more expensive than the GJ, however they are tough to find. You should ride it and enjoy it, as they don't make em like that anymore. 2Tundras is right, they were considered a premium bike back in the day.

I appreciate oldum bikes but I don't collect them, primarily because I have to room to store them. I have three bikes, plus 3 for my wife and two daughters. I have and occasionally ride a late 80’s Nishiki International. It had some quality Suntour components but I have replaced, but kept, many of the original components. It is light and handles great. It has many similarities to Motobecane. My other two bikes are a Nashbar-frame mtn bike I build in the early 2000’s, and a 1970’s Schwinn tandem.

I'd love to find me a nice late 90's Klein Pulse Comp MTB. Sparkly blue frame that rode stiff as rails. Could be a little punishing at times with an entry level Rock Shox Indy suspension fork (the good ol' elastomer kind..) but man did that thing handle!

I was never in to road bikes - mostly because my first 10 speed ended up with two potato chips after I took it off the BMX ramp in the neighbor's field. My bad.
