Greetings I am planning on polishing my 2015 tundra before applying geyeon can coat in the next few weeks. This truck is new to me and I haven’t polished it before. The paint doesn’t need a serious correction but I am stuck between these two pads due to the fact I do not have any experience with tundra paint ( it’s soft from my research here). I would rather play it safe when it comes to polishing.

    Using a da polisher with 5inch pads….using 3d one

Should I use the lake country blue polishing pad?

Or go “safer” with the black pad?

    Opinions and advice appreciated

You'd be fine with either one...neither is particularly aggressive. This is an instance where a test spot will be your best friend. The more aggressive pad would take advantage of the abrasive technology in 3D One more than the other.

Been giving this some thought....have you considered just using a true polish as opposed to a hybrid like 3D One?

I should probably that sonax polish a try….the 3d is kind of a do all and being in Texas it’s already hot so I know a lot of people talk about the ease of it coming off.

I ended up buying one Lake country orange pad and 5 black finish pads ….will test but I don’t need heavy correction.
