Hello I’m new to the forum! I’ve been having an issue the past few months with my 2016 tundra TRD pro. After it sits overnight or for a long period of time it will hesitate to start up and blow out some white smoke with a strong fuel smell. At first I though it was injectors but I’ve been told it could be my fuel pump? I’ve changed out the fuel pump control module and also had the truck reflashed at Toyota. Neither have helped. Any ideas!? Thanks.

I had starting issues at about 9k miles on my 2020 Trd Pro Tundra. After about a month at dealership they diagnosed it to a bad fuel pump. Toyota had several lots of faulty fuel pumps I was told by service advisor. I haven’t had a problem since replacement.

I ordered a new fuel pump after finally finding one. My model is on crazy back order. $717…I’ll let you know what happens!

I bet! I would ask if you’re serial on fuel pump qualifies for the faulty batch. I’m not sure if there’s a recall on some but it won’t hurt to ask dealership! Good luck
