Saw one on a used Tundra, I've exhausted my internet abilities and cannot find.
Anybody know where I can get one?
    Thanks in advance.

Here it is on a used 2013 for sale, 75 miles from the house.
Somebody has to make these for a Toyota.
Toyota's are occasionally used for actual work, right?
I need to use this new to me truck for a 2nd job, hauling firewood.
My delicate tailgate is currently perfect and needs to stay that way.
Help a brother out if you can.

@KB Voodoo made some really nice tailgate caps for the weak tacoma tailgates. Wonder if maybe he could do something like that and maybe a skin for the tundra?

I used to have them fabricated for all my work trucks. I used diamond plate but instead of bending the top edge I had the shop weld on aluminum angle. It survived loading with forklifts much better than a bent edge. It was installed with rivets.

@KB Voodoo Tacoma product was top notch, and as he mentions above, if they are working on one for the Tundra, you know it'll be worth the wait!

X2 but I don't want just rail caps I want full protector like in picture.
The metal on my tundra bed (and body) is pathetically weak.

There doesn't seem to be much market for them, so most likely not.

Bump on this thread. Took a Genie AWP to the the dealer for work and the guy on the forklift dropped the thing on my tailgate and taco'd it. Still closes but when I put my camper shell on the back hatch doesn't seal anymore. Now every time I have to transport something that needs to be loaded by forklift I start sweating lol. Would be nice if there was a strong solution out there

Just got me one, thank you! However, these pictures are not real clear. This one doesn't go over the edge. Fine for me, I will add a 1.5" x 2.5" 3/16" angle iron cap. Screenshot_2021-11-21-13-43-09.jpg Screenshot_2021-11-21-13-43-03.jpg

Update: received the plate, nice super clean stainless table top on the tailgate now. The one downside I see is it might get slippery with muddy shoes on moving firewood or similar.

Not much different than what you can find on google, except I added a bed liner painted angle iron cap.20211126_100953.jpg

Might add some grip tape, or even some sort of cool design made out of grip tape. Thinking about "TUNDRA" out of 1" grip tape. As always, one leads to ten others!!

    For sure!

I want one that wraps over the end of the tailgate, basically like the Dee Zee, as well as to replace these stupid plastic OEM side rail caps which compress when you have things clamped to the sides, nobody seems to offer that... (Pssst @KB Voodoo if you're still out there...)

Of course we're still here, but we're not interested in making something like this.

Our main focus these days is on truck bed racks.

How thick is the metal for that tailgate cover? My old deezee is beat up, and is discontinued.

Not exactly sure, a close SWAG would be 20 guage. Not more than 18, not less than 22. Maybe in the specs online somewhere. Better than nothing and with the angle iron addition it is well protected from damages. If needing to put a heavy load on the center of the gate I would still lay a 2x10 or similar across to distribute the load. Wanted a black dee zee, not enough time to fab one, so....

If I was going to make one, I would use 1/8" thick aluminum.

Yours looks thinner than that, which might explain why it's so beat up.
