    Dear Tundra Folks

I have a 2015 Tundra 1794 edition. I was considering installing a cool air intake system, to get me a lil better mpg n hp and also i love the sound!

Does anyone have any experience doing so? Are there any risks associated with it?

    THanks so mcuh

Not much if anything to gain from a CAI since the stock system is very well designed. You also run the risk of throwing P0101/MAF codes on some setups. You can look at a SABM mod but on a nonsupercharged application I think you are wasting your time with a CAI.

    thanks for reply!

quick clarification, is there a difference between a SABM mod box and CAI or are they the same thing?

The older models have a larger airbox, maybe get one from salvage. My understanding is that it'll fit right in. Going to be looking at it myself soon.

    x2 on SABM.

    Bought my kit from GTek.

Do stock air box mod. Not cold air intake.

Catback and bullydog would actually have benefits, cai just doesn’t.

The trd air flow accelerator (velocity stack) seems to help a wee bit on the top end and it's only about $20. I think it's better sounding than the factory angle-ended tube too and you don't have to cut a hole.

This is probably one of the only better intakes than the stock intake. It has a tube that takes in fresh air from the front of the radiator. Helps keep IAT down

I haven’t got in the mail. But if your going through a lot of dust and sand I’d ditch the oil filter and go with dry
