Great choice. Enjoy! Those platinum seats were the main reason I considered the platinum. I couldn’t get out of the limited seats fast enough. Too firm for me. Platinum with TRD PRO suspension sounds perfect to me(with a BAMuffler lol).

I was pulling out of the car wash the other day and a metallic gray trd pro was pulling in and I was slightly envious. Maybe because it was newer or maybe because of the bed stamp :bikewhoops: That being said this past week I had my windows tinted and the guys doing it as well as the ladies in the office were going nuts over my truck. One lady even said its the nicest truck she has ever seen.

I went for the higher residual value of the Pro vs the luxury of the Platinum. I plan on long term ownership (200k goal) and this was the most economical choice on the market.

I went with the trdpro with the initial idea of not having to do any mods to it. Although I have never been able to resist the urge to mod my vehicles and now I'm finding myself wanting just a slightly higher lift etc, I'm left wondering if maybe I should've just went with a platinum lol

that being said though I do love this truck and don't regret the purchase

I have been surprised how many compliments I have had regarding my 20 Platinum. The older women here get the Tundra. But I live in a rural area so trucks are much more sought after.

Me too! But then again I have side pipes on one of my cars and duals with magnaflo on another....quiet is not in my vocabulary...I do appreciate that during normal driving, the Pro does not have the drone associated with many of the aftermarket mufflers. I don't think anyone has mentioned the (fake) hood scoop...I think it looks very cool even though it's non-functional. One of these days I'll figure out a way to make it a true ram air scoop unless a company like VaraRam comes out with one first.

I was completely on the fence about installing the TRD exhaust on my platinum. I am not into loud motorcycles and the whining exhausts on the little Honda coupes. However, I pulled the trigger and I LOVE it. It has just the right amount of rumble. The only caveat would be if you’re towing a lot I heard the drone could be a little much on the highway. I don’t tow so I hardly hear anything. That’s what radios are for anyways. :mudding::yes:

Agreed, definitely not too loud. After the first 1500 miles or so, the exhaust had broken in and purred like a... hungry lion

I’ve been in the market for a 2020/2021 Tundra for months. Went from the TRD Pro to the Limited TRD to the SR5 TRD loaded out and now narrowed it down to a Limited TRD or Platinum. What a cluster… My question is, do they offer a 2020 or 2021 Platinum with the TRD package? I have yet to see one with the decals.

Platinum doesn’t come with the decals nor the Bilstein suspension. You can always add them and the 18 inch wheels.

The 1794 is close to a Platinum and offered the TRD off road package. The biggest difference between the two is the color of the interior. I attached the Tundra pamphlet from Toyota with the different offerings for the different models to this post.

if your going to keep suspension stock, get the PRO. If you want creature comfort and plan on modifying the suspension get the PLATINUM. I went comfort and upgraded my suspension

    how do I do this?

suspension first I presume? was going to get 6112 and 5160 combo, but seems the 6112 have been replaced.

What aftermarket suspension is comparable to the TRD pro?

I have as set of 4 bilstein 5100's in a basket, but am not convinced I should hit buy yet!

I’d get something a step up from bilsteins- they are nice shocks but look to fox, icon, dobinsons, king, etc.

TRD Pro Suspension ride really well and the OEM TRD OF package also rides very smooth. I do know the Pro suspension needs to be rebuilt ever 50k miles or so. I’ve had the Bilstein 5100’s on all 4 corners on different 4x4’ before and it rides more stiff.
