That is not the next Supra... It's a concept car that is called the Toyota FT-1. It used to be up on there website under "upcoming vehicles", but recently it's been removed.

I think the article is wrong about the supercharger as the TRD ones have been discontinued.

    It's what I thought too.

All of these statements are correct.
    • The car is a concept created by Toyota called the FT-1. It is considered to be the next-gen Supra, without that name.
    • The Toyota Tundra is not offered factory with a Supercharger so its not comparing apples to apples.
    • The TRD Supercharger was discontinued. It would need to be an aftermarket Magnuson Supercharger. 550hp and 550lb-ft torque at the crank.
    • There are no actual specs released on the FT-1 to actually compare the Tundra to anyway.
    • The FT-1 will be lighter weight guaranteed so even if its less hp and torque it could still be faster.

I sent a comment to this website about the S/C on the Tundra; where did they get their info. They keep mentioning that you can get one from Toyota . . .

Despite running on the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine with 450hp to offer, the F-150 Raptor is still behind the Toyota Tundra on the performance front. Many are unaware of the fact that the Tundra can go a lot faster when equipped with a supercharged add-on offered by the carmaker.
