I've always been a Toyota girl and throughout our lives my husband and I have always had a truck and an SUV. The trucks changed from Tacomas to Tundras. But the SUV was always a 4runner. Once I had the V8 in my first gen Tundra, I knew I needed a 4th gen eventually. And then the perfect truck was listed and we didn't think twice.

2006 limited 2wd V8 in salsa red pearl with a sunroof (a must have for me). We already had a 4wd so we didn't need another. It was low mileage, clean, loaded with options and all necessary maintenance kept up.

I owned it for about a year before a 16 year old with her driver's licence still hot from printing slammed into my driver's side, destroying every suspension component. Once we got the pay out from insurance, we long traveled it. 8 months of waiting for Camburg to get their act together and coming across more parts we needed to upgrade was worth it. We've done a ton to it so far and have more planned. The RCSB Tundra will be towing it all over, including Glamis!

    Suspension:
Camburg +2" Trail Series kit with billet uppers
Dobinsons MRR kit with C59-314 front springs and C59-677v rear springs
    Camburg spindles
    Camburg limit straps
Perry Parts front and rear bump stops
Heimed steering tie rod upgrade with RC.Fab rack clevis (Camburg's clevis does not fit)
    Icon billet rear control arms
    Eimkeith PCK

    Wheels & Tires:
    Stealth Custom Series BR6s 17x8.5 -10mm blaze bronze/matte black
Kenda Klever RTs 35x10.5 fronts and 35x12.5 rears

    Armor:
Custom front bumper by my husband

    Lighting:
Baja Designs squadrons fogs and ditch lights
Baja Designs S8 30" bumper light
Baja Designs 40" curved OnX6 (not installed)

    Miscellaneous:
    McNeil OEM style fiberglass
Complete audio upgrade with Sundown Audio speakers and 6" sub
    PowerTrax Lock Rite auto locker

    As it sits now:

    What We Have Planned:
    Fox Hydro Bumps up front
    Shorter rear springs
    Switch Pros w/ custom mount
    TEQ taillights
    Custom roof rack
    Repaint the front end
    Rear bumper - probably custom
    Tint everywhere
    New shocks..

When we bought it, it had some Bilsteins, method wheels and Nitto tires. First thing we did was rip the running boards off and replace the wheels with SCS BR6s in blaze bronze lip. I bought the truck to be my dog wagon so then we added some Ruffland kennels to the back. It's my daily so I planned to keep it pretty mild and not do much to it. Then the accident happened.

We talked about long travel kits and because it was still my daily, we landed on the Camburg Trail Series since it was only +2". This kit also allowed us to run any coilover we wanted. I always want to be different so I suggested Dobinsons MRR and my husband immediately started research. Turns out he liked their travel numbers best. I liked their teal springs and coils!

First trip out with it and we had no idea what we were doing with shock settings. But the road we were on people always complain is a very jarring and unpleasant road to run. We floated on it. That's when we knew this was going to be a blast! It took us several trips to understand the shock settings and fine tune them for what we were doing. It's taken me a bit to fine tune them for daily driving as well.

I obviously needed a front bumper and Demello had always been my favorite. But I could never find a bumper I liked that would fit the build. So I kindly asked my husband and he designed and built me one! This is V1 as he's currently working on V2.

Here's some pictures as my photography skills improve and we continue to test the suspension and see what else we needed.

Trimmed the rear bumper since we kept folding it in half with the rear tires. It was floppy so my husband made some brackets using countersunk hardware for that race truck look.

Then we finally powder coated the bumper, added some lights and built a retrofit finally. That's pretty much caught up!

In case anybody cares, updated the main post with all the new goodies like the heim steering upgrade and new tires. We took it Glamis recently and it did awesome. The Kenda tires were great in the sand and the auto locker kept us from getting stuck. The Dobinsons shocks need a rebuild but it's possible we just upgrade to some ADS shocks.
