It looks like Vland now has tails that make your 2nd gens look like 3rd gens - at least from the back side.

    Price - $280

Here's one for the 2.5's, 3rd gen style headlights from Spyder, AKKON and all the other clones, so I'm sure VLAND will offer them at some point too

Well I went ahead and ordered the tail lights tonight. Read some Amazon reviews and they seemed good. Said they were bright vs some other reviews I’ve seen. I did find another brand that was about $40 cheaper and look to be the exact same with the exception of having a better mount for the resistor.

I want to upgrade the headlights too, but don’t want to spend $1000+ for them. But I also want to keep the compatibility with the motorized adjuster I have.

I got lucky and got one of the last sets of Alpha pros with adjuster about 2 years ago. Haven’t seen them since.

Got these tail lights in today and took me about an hour for everything.

The resistor had a nice cover over it, but it had a capacitor in parallel with it left dangling. I put some zip ties to keep it close to the other wiring.
    439C1C37-E07C-419D-B237-77B00DA5E1AB.jpg

Installation was very simple. But I do have the VLEDs backup license plate bar so I had to splice that into the harness.

Lights look bright enough to me during the day, and we’ll see tonight.

They look pretty good! Let us know how they did at night, what do they look like during the day when you just touch the brake pedal and with the headlights off?

They actually look even better at night! The turn signal is a little more orange than yellow, but I don’t mind it. Because of the sequential pattern, it looks like it’s flashing quickly, but it’s the same as normal.

There are some rough edges in a couple areas where it looks like the plastic molding was broken free after forming. But nothing major.

So far my only real complaint is that on the right turn signal bar (for lack of a better word) there is a piece of hair or very thin thread. It’s sitting on the bar and hangs off of it a little, so I know it’s not a crack. It may likely fall after driving it more. If not I’ll reach out to the seller and see about replacing it.

hey guys I purchased these yesterday, should be coming in anytime now, I was skeptical to purchase them before I saw this post. I think that they look great with the contrasting white that @BoysandHisToys has. Cant wait to see the results on my Magnetic Gray Rock Warrior. Should turn out great. Has anyone done a rain test or carwash test?

Did you get the VLANDS or the Shocklight? Post up some images similar to mine so we can see the differences.
Mine have worked out great. I did send one back bc the assembly had some hair or thread inside and resting on one of the “bars” that I could see. It got in there in assembly I guess.

I like them, haven't found an Amazon or ebay listing to order from yet. They're only on the vland website right now.

So bad news on my tail lights today. Started getting the hyperflash on my driver side tail light. Swapped to OEM tail lights to make sure it wasn’t the Form Lighting headlights I just installed a couple weeks ago and they worked fine.

so definitely the tail lights. On the phone with Amazon right now about a refund or return since I’m outside the normal return policy.

They’re allowing me to return with a $40 restocking fee. Better than nothing as I’m going to go back to OEM for now. Might see what others are available. TBH, during the day these were too dark and they also aren’t DOT approved.

I have always thought that and had my eye out for a pair with clear lenses.
