    Hey guys,

I noticed that my front top grill bumper popped out a little. 2 pins seem to be not properly connected. I tried to push it back in but something seems off. I was wondering how you remove this so I can try to see what's wrong.

Pop the hood, there are 3 (maybe 4 screws) on the under side, once the screws are removed. Its only held in my pop clips, so pull it off the hood (gently). You probably have some of the stock pop clips that need to be replaced. I did this recently.

I used these and they worked well:

Thank you so much!!! This is exactly what I needed.

Just curious, why did you have to replace the pop clips? I only have around 50K so I'm wondering why it broke so fast haha.

I've pulled my hood bulge off a few times and driven rough roads. My truck is also always outside, including Texas summers. Plastic only does so well in high heat and extreme cold.

    Too many mods to come
Lots of pressure also on the hood bulge as the air goes in but doesn’t come out.

Also Texan. Mine doesn’t do it while driving. It only happens when it’s in the garage.

Your hood grill pops out only when it's in the garage?

I watched the vid and then watched his vid for installing the plastic color matched bumper skins.
Does anyone know if that's what they do on the factory color matched bumpers? Just a plastic skin over the metal? Or do they paint the metal bumper?

The factory bumper ends are plastic with no metal under them. There are some threads on here about how to go from chrome to factory color matched, since the plastic require some extra parts to mount up.

Edit: sorry, that is not true for the front. The rear plastic end caps requires more parts then the chrome. Looks like the fronts can be swapped.

Good to know. I have the painted black metal SR bumpers. If I ever wanted to color match, The easiest route would probably be just to paint 'em.
