Prospeed new is $300 I believe and the radium single unit is $250 or something like that. No need for the dual radium can setup.

The box upper you can get from superchargers online and the lower is 07-13 tundra. The upper is the key since it has a 4” maf housing which you want

I have my OEM ‘13 box, SCOL search leaves alot to be desired. I couldn’t find anything airbox related.

Moved the coolant reservoir, looked for a fitting on the fuel rail, don't see any. All of the vacuum hoses from that module went into the oem intake & the servo on the back fwiw. I don't have a vacuum leak. :dunno:

Will the box you had not work or is the geometry off? Are you planning to upgrade the intake at any point?

I’d have to cut the crap out of the box and intake tube and my ADD would be screaming 24/7/365.

I’d like to get the right parts once as opposed to my normal MO of buying things I can’t use (see ginormous aluminum intake tube)

So what’s my best air intake combo?
    :p

    Thanks

Gotchya didn't know that tube wasn't misaligned with the box post blower install.

It seems like your only option is the Maggie box according to the guys running the Magnuson.

PS makes an air box for the Maggie blower but that has the larger intake and is basically a hot air intake. The tube is the only thing not cheaply made.

Pics and part numbers from David at SCOL. Back in September 2022, I paid $225 for the upper airbox and $35 for the lower. Plus $53 to ship to east coast.

IMG_1025.jpg IMG_2370.jpg It looks like its all coming together @e30cabrio! I don't mean to change subjects here, but after waiting 6 weeks my replacement transmission finally came in. I never explained why i ordered a new one so i figured i would try and quickly elaborate so nobody else goes through the same situation....

I picked up my 19 trd pro right off the delivery truck with 1 mile on it. I drove it right into my bay and did the pre-delivery service back in May 2019. I drove it for 30k miles NA without any issues. Last March i pulled the truck in my bay at work, put the supercharger on, loaded the supplied OVtune, and took it on my first test drive. Within 1 minute of driving i said "uh-uh i am not liking how the tune feels for the transmission. The TC lockup timing felt terrible to me and i immediately called one of my friends. Between the 2 of us we have probably installed 20 magnusons and he said he has never had any issues with the transmission. I scratched my head and said me either but we have never used the OVtune. So i drove it lightly for a day. I decided to give it the first WOT pull the next day and when it went to shift from 2-3 it was VIOLENT! I felt that it shifted hard enough that it could potentially split the transmission case. I said holy crap and called Magnuson immediately. They said the tune is still new but they never had any issues. I said ok, hooked up the techstream and cleared the transmission learned values. Hammered it a few more times and it was still violent but got better over time. I drove it for about 12k miles and it was tolerable but i was never happy. Over time it starting shifting very firm if it downshifted from 4th to 3rd now as well. I finally got with OTT and thought a good solid tune with HPtuners, which i am much more familiar with, would handle it all. Sure enough it still shifted like crap. OTT tried everything but i told him i give up. I was just convinced at this point there is probably mechanical damage already done. Mind you now the truck drove soooo much nicer with the tune.

I then decided to do a full flush on the transmission. The fluid actually looked pretty good and i didn't see any clutch material. But it still shifted funny. So at this point (January 2023) i bit the bullet and at 43k miles i told my boss i am ordering a warranty transmission. I drove the truck for the time being. Driveablity other than the firm 2-3 shift was absolutely fine and at no point did i feel like i was going to get stranded. I even took a 1500 mile round trip with my family with no issue. Last week my new trans came so i put it in. Now the truck drives perfect and that tune made it drive like it should have from the very beginning. I added a trans cooler and temps dropped about 30 degrees on average. I will be adding a valve body now and hoping i get years more out of it this time. Just thought this info might be helpful to some of the newer guys asking about supercharging their trucks. I saw 2 other people using the OVtune with the same issue. I can't say 100 percent it was the tune that messed it up as i have no proof. But i have been in this business long enough and i have no other explanation on how a truck drives perfect until i load in a tune and then it drives like crap. And trust me my least favorite statement is "Ever since" but hey it is what it is.

I wish i could but Toyota won't cover the warranty claim if the trans has been taken apart. It kills me not knowing what failed.

My guess would be that the clutches for 3rd are burned but i didn't see that indicated in the trans fluid so I'm a bit stumped without taking it apart. Since all we do is swap transmissions instead of rebuilding them i am no way an expert in automatic transmissions. I have rebuilt my personal ones on some of my vehicles but that's as far as my experience goes.

Do you know what the normal R&R cost would be out of warranty for a trans replacement?

The transmission cost was $3593. Then whatever is charged for labor by whoever installs it.

Normally not so easy lol. I actually thought my boss would be pissed but he said hey you are still a customer so do what you have to do. But i am always willing to help when there is a legitimate warranty problem.

Mine was about $7k. Trans got too hot and burned up, couldn't shift into 5th/6th and could barely get going. Happened from just horsepowering through the sand in Mexico, but luckily it limped us home. Dropped the truck off at a shop and just said fix it since I had to leave for work. Forget the break down, mine came from some place called "Certified Transmission" and was a brand new unit with their "stage 2" whatever the hell that means and was like a $500 upgrade of "stuff". The trans was like $4600, plus another $2500 or so for install. That was 2.5 years ago.

Also sucked a rock or socket or something into the blower right before that trip, and got the blower fully rebuilt which ended up including new rotors. That was a 1-2 punch of truck expenses.

I don't blame anything on it. I was too lazy to air down and figured I had plenty of horsepower. Didn't have my phone up to monitor the trans temp, and just 1st or 2nd gear WOT all over the place in the sand. Started acting a little weird so left the sand, check the temp and it was at like 260 or something and that was the end of it (trans light never came on though, since that's at like 300 lmao). The trans had 240k on it at that time. If I aired down, if I watched the temps, if I didn't just sit on the throttle forever, lots of things would've saved it. I don't blame the supercharger or the tune (idk what tune I even had back then), but the supercharger arguably did allow it to happen otherwise I would've just gotten stuck and been forced to air down :D one of the reasons I have the lockup so early since I'm very conscious of trans temps now!
