Moms closet has collapsed, all her shalves and whatnot were held into the wall by anchors, and didnt like dads new insulated coveralls. She went to home depot to have a look at the cheap stuff, but if im gonna build it, i'm gonna build it right. Anyone here built closet stuff from scratch? I know she wants 2 levels to hang clothes, a chest of drawers, some shoe racks. Maybe fix her up with more lights...and??

its a pretty big walk-in, like 10'x6'. And she didnt like my suggestion of getting rid of the half of their clothes they dont wear, and leaving the half they do wear in folded piles on top of the dryer like i do.

When she gets here, i'll doodle up a few plans, but i dont really have much of an idea of where to start. I've never had or needed a walk in closet, and keep all my heavy winter clothes in plastic containers in the garage.

I have my childhood dresser and changing table in the shop. I think i'm going to give it back. After a cleanup & maybe ball bearing tracks.

Omfg. Its like aguing with a toddler. We need too much rod and too many drawers. Like even dad has over 50 outfits...like pick out your favorite 10 and a few extras... mom wants mary poppins bag for a closet.
