On the tundra, I would just take it to a wash bay, grab the pressure washer and hit it myself

I've a black truck as well.
I bought myself a griots g9 and paired it up with 3d one and some lakecountry foam pads. I had both their orange and white pads, I tried the orange pads first on a test area and while they did a nice job of removing any swirls they left a bit of haze, the white pads worked perfect no swirls and no haze.

Right on. Circumstances dictate what we each need to do. I also avoid any automatic car wash that touches the paint.

There are numerous touch-less washes by me, but only two do-it-yourself bays. I prefer the latter as well

Try Griots Garage. All in one Ceramic has a polishing agent, where 3 in 1 is a straight ceramic ( so you have to prep the car first )
