Not yet. I'm going to my property early Friday morning. It's about 250m of freeway/highway until I get to Ft Garland. My property is off the grid. No cell, internet, and crappy radio reception. (only three miles from power and 10 minutes from town, so not off the grid like, say Pitcairn Island, heh heh) There should be a lot of bugs on the way plus I will get a good mpg indication too.

I am making a side trip Friday on my way to Ft Garland to check out some front and rear Iron Bull winch bumpers. The front is the Defender 8. If I pull this buy off, there will definitely have to be a front suspension upgrade. $800 for the PAIR! Auburn temporarily bumped. Similar bumpers below...V

Nice looking bumpers except there is a little too much tubing protection on the front. That is alot of weight.

$800 for the pair is a steal though.

If I get these, the tubing will totally disappear. Never was a fan of tube style anything. Like my bull bar and nerfs. Already talked with co-worker about using his metal shop to cut and snip.He has a paint shed where I can refinish the bumpers. Helped him completely refinish/paint is bed on his Ranger and came out looking real good. Now considering OME with HD coils from ToyTec. I'll do the rear first and and ponder awhile about the front. At $800 for the pair I could trade for a different front and still come out ahead. The cheapest I've seen the defender 8 is $1400 + shipping. I have a lot of options. Main thing is to get possession of these bumpers first.

Yea that sounds like a good plan. Looks like a very beefy bumper and amazing price at $400 each. Not going to find that again. Little work and they will be where you want them.

What's cool is the rear is compatible with the factory trailer hitch and license plate lights. Bumpers were a "like to have" but probably never get because of cost. This is a game changer. (deadly on moose)

Seller of bumpers was supposed to meet me Friday. Didn't happen. Never returned calls or texts. Oh well. On a better note I averaged a tad over 14mpg which is good considering I had cruise control set for 78 most of the way down I-25 south of Colo Springs and altitude swings from 5300 to 9700 ft. Definitely need flares. Tires are throwing mud in the cab. Actually on my face somehow. Rained 3hours solid which washed out the road below my property on the fourth. Par for the course since my access to my property was washed out. Need to have a talk with the county to see what's up with them not grading the road properly. I used to be able to drive onto my property, now there's a four foot deep ditch. Couldn't get my road graded. Again. I am seeing "big culvert" in my immediate future. No doubt a county permit fee too. Still was able to complete 700ft section of barb wire fence. (everything hand carried to the back of my property of course along with camping equipment. Fortunately I had plenty of Coors and rib eye steaks to ease the pain.

Side note: One thing went well. My BugflectorII actually deflected bugs, at least most of them compared to what was on my grill.

Since I got stiffed on bumpers, I found a Ranch Hand guard on Craig's List for $200. Amazon price is $671 shipped. Talked to owner and picking it up in Monument,CO on Saturday morning. Ranch Hand products are very well made and have a good rep. My cousin uses them on all his farm trucks. He herds cattle with his truck. His dog does it better. Ordered light brackets from Ranch Hand for my fogs. Good bye bull bar.

Ranch Hand Legend Series Grille Guard is now installed. The only way you will get one better built is by a fab shop.

I went down to Colo Springs to Ranch Hand Truckfitters store and bought a pair of rubber bumper strips and light brackets. I will add more pics to this tomorrow.

@csuviper: What do you think how the ranch hand guard looks? Not bad for $200.

I think it looks great. Very beefy. After I picked it up in Monument I drove down to Colorado Springs (maybe 10 min) and went to the Ranch Hand Truckfitter's store and met Shane, the store manager. I told him that I just picked up the grille for $200. He said"you know you just saved about $500". The bumper came without fasteners. Shane could have ordered the required goodies for $50 bucks but he agreed that I should just go to ACE and pick up hardened grade A bolts/nuts/washers which I did for $29. I did purchase optional light brackets and rubber push bumper strips for $91. Shane showed me sample cross sections of the tubing Ranch Hand uses, 12 gauge,.31", and samples of competitors tubing. Laughable difference. The store itself is pretty cool. Similar to 4 Wheel Parts, but better customer service. I got pricing for Bushwacker pockets ($500), rear Ranch Hand Sport bumper ($550), and six step running boards ($550). They have the full line of Yeti coolers on display. Various lighting stuff, the usual truck accessories, etc.
    cam00076-jpg.3829.jpg Before
CAM00248.jpg After. You do the math.
CAM00249.jpg Factory tow hooks retained. My tow hooks had to come off with Westin Bull Bar which I do not miss at all.

CAM00247.jpg Beefy light brackets. The light brackets allow for mounting fogs below and driving lights above which I am picking up today. (Hella 700FF's)

8986ca462e1db796c624632cac56b878.image.733x550.jpg Very cool step. Built tough. Reasonable price.
SBT071BLL.jpg Ditto on bumper. I like the diamond plate look. Practical too. All rear bumpers include lights std. Can retain factory receiver.

ShinerBeers_Benches.jpg They also have these for $350. Made by Ranch Hand. Put down a deposit for one. hey hey!!

What do you think about the Shiner Bench? They have one with Ranch Hand branding too. You can have a beer on a nuke proof bench. I wonder if it could be mounted in the bed?? Would technically count as a mod. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Shiner Bock is pretty good. Yes it would be a mod. Would be easy to mount those up by drilling holes in the bed and adding plates to the back side to distribute.

Definitely would be pretty nifty. Use some kind of quick disconnect fasteners. Would turn some heads I'm thinkin. Good for fishing, the drive in, or doing nothing.

Picked up the Hella 700FF's w/full wiring, relay kit with goofy color code wires. ( $68 including tax with 30% discount) If I have time this weekend and nobody gets shot, I will weld some tabs to the upper guard bracket and move the fogs down there. About flush with the bottom of the license plate but not low enough to interfere with tow hooks/recovery strap. I will move the Hellas to the back hole on light brackets and mount my ANZO cube leds where the fogs are now and clean up the wiring. May give my son my ANZO's and go with light bar below Hellas or keep ANZOs and mount light bar on top of guard above Hellas

I was wondering if you were going to respond. Have you ordered yet? With you being in Texas how can you not own one? Hell,I don't live there and I still want one. Although I was born in Corpus Christi. I am a Texan so that qualifies me to own one. :jellydance: I was quoted $350 in Colorado Springs Ranch Hand store. Sounds pricey but you can always tell the significant other it will be a family heirloom to be passed down. heh heh (Ranch Hand should throw in a case of bock. Make that 2 cases)

Would love to own that bench. It would look great in the garage next to the Keezer & fermenter. :headbang:

Fab'd some light brackets for fogs. Will probably look for a light bar to mount just below Hellas on upper light mounts. Need to take a few measurements first. Going to attempt wiring the Hellas to my hi beams. They relay that came with the Hellas is surprisingly kind of cheap. Made of plastic. May upgrade the relay, wires, larger fuses, and swap in 100 watt bulbs. Basically ditch the harness that came with the kit.

I planned to move them down to where they are now. The top brackets were a good place to hang em. They may have worked there somewhat but defeats the purpose of having them so high. I do like having so many options as far as lighting. Thinking about buying another set of light brackets. If I want to go real crazy I can add two more lights between the Hellas. (a pair ANZO 6" HID's or 5"KC Apollo Pro halogens) and a light bar below and one at the top. Probably look kind of stupid. I am not that big on light bar bars anyways. Kind of old school. Will probably add the ANZOs or KCs though and be done with it. (maybe) :cookiemonster:

I like the the 130 watt Daylighters but they would stick out past the guard and possibly get twanged. There are a lot of KC options now. A couple of slimline lights and the Apollo's have a smaller form factor. Back in the day was just one KC to chose from. The Daylighter. Made it easy to decide. heh heh. KC has several LED's to chose from. And there is ANZO to consider.o_O
