I’m looking for a heated garage space to rent for a few hours, maybe a weekend in the Denver / west Denver, Golden area.

The interwebs have failed me. DIY Garage appears to be permanently closed. Co. Springs has one, but it’s a haul for a few hours.

Anyone know of something? I do need 8.5’ overhead/door clearance.

This subject interests me a lot. Often think about leasing an out of business auto shop with about four bays and renting out the bays for DIY apartment dwellers and such. Something with some shared big shop equipment and a hand, air, power tool rental booth. Sales counter for filters, pads, grease, fluids, etc. I would have loved something like this when I lived in an apartment. Anyone else???

100%. When I was younger, I started to look into it - didn’t have the capital or the nerve to take in the risk. There is a business model here, I’m certain. That said - I still don’t have the nerve but need the space.
And, I don’t even need tools or a lift at this point. Just a place to work that isn’t in the snow

Could you maybe put up a shelter logic enclosure/canopy and run a space heater? They have lots of size options on the shelter logic website. Maybe you could sell it after you are done and get back a decent portion of the cost. Just brainstorming a bit.

I’d invest in that if I had space for it. My neighborhood won’t allow it.

I was given this link a while back and told they had a bay. Ended up not needing it so didn't look into it further.

    In Longmont

Is renting a storage unit a possibility? If you find one that has lights you can remove the bulb and screw in a plug adapter to gain a small electric space heater.

Maybe RV and boat storage for high and wide access

Yeah - I suppose it’s possible if the door is tall enough. Though, I think you usually need to commit to a month.

I’ll try some of them too. Thanks.
It’s a bummer something more specific and practical doesn’t seem to exist in Denver.

Yes, probably a month. A month here is about $120. Maybe ask some local mom and pop shop if you can find one nowadays. Doesn't hurt if you have time to get around and talk to folks. Lots of good people in the world, it's just a matter of getting to know each of them. Another possibility might be a tech school where maybe you attended or can talk to the auto shop instructor and share what you have going on with the class. Again just throwing around quick ideas!

That place is really appealing to me in several other ways and could really benefit society in numerous ways. Just way cool!

Have you checked with the Colorado Tundra Group? I thought one of the guys had their own shop.
