I have a 2016 Tundra Crewmax X-Xsp edition. The bed has metal channels on three sides but not on tailgate. Can anyone tell me what type of bedcover this takes?

If you're saying there is no cover to go with the rails for whatever reason, it's probably going to cost almost as much to buy just that as to toss the rails out and start from scratch with whichever one you want.

Those are deck rails for tying down cargo. Any bed cover for a Crew Max bed will fit.

Those are deck rails for tying down cargo. They are not part of a cover.

Kinda look like these? As previously mentioned they are for Cargo Management. I removed mine for now. If you are considering purchasing a Tonneau Cover, you will probably be queried as to whether you have these installed or not. Having them installed requires a different method of attachment of the Tonneau Cover Rails to the Truck Bed.

The only thing the cargo rails have to do with a bed cover is that you will be asked if you have cargo rails when you buy a cover. Some bed covers won't work if you have cargo rails installed.

The BakFlip I put on my '19 comes with drop down brackets allowing you to retain use of the cargo rails.

Some others may also, but most don't.
