Any of you guys with experience with a lifted 2nd Gen Sequoia...will be lifting my 2010 Limited Sequoia...decided to go with the Dobinson's 2.5" IMS lift kit. My question has to do with brake lines. Do any of you have knowledge as to whether this combination might require extended brake lines? From what i understand, 2.5 inches is right on the line as far as whether it would require extended lines, but I figured asking if anyone had real-world knowledge would be more fruitful. I'm also having the Power Stop Z36 rotors, calipers and pads installed, with stainless steel brake lines, which poses a second, related, question...if extended lines are required, have any of you had experience with any manufacturers of extended stainless steel brake lines for the Sequoia? I've had all kinds of trouble even identifying anyone that manufactures them for the Sequoia.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

I just spoke with Stellar Built about that exact lift kit. They did not mention anything about extended brake lines.

There are extension brackets that "extend" the brake lines. Look at Toytecs site for the Tundra and you will see what I am referring to.

I believe my Dobinsons kit came with little brake bracket extenders (like 2” of metal, no change to the actual brake lines), but the rear may be different in the Sequoia.

These are for the Tundra but I would imagine the Sequoia rear end is the same.

You shouldn't have brake line length issues. I've been in some weird situations with either front or rear tires hanging off the ground and never ran in to brake line issues. Front is ADS Coilovers/MCM UCA which they call "mid travel" with a 7" travel shock, rear is Dobinson 2.5" springs with 8" travel shock. Double check the ims travel length most are 6" fr/rr travel or 6" fr/7"rr travel. So you will be fine.

The rear shock travel is about 6.75", so we'll call it 7" travel. I couldn't find front shock length in my 2 minutes of searching. While I know there are thousands of lifted sequoias running around on "shock extension brackets" I hated the idea of buying and using incorrect length of shock and adding a bracket to it, so I went a different route to buy a correct length shock and get additional travel.

Does anyone have the complete Dobinson's 2.5" IMS lift kit on their Sequoia? Mine is really high in the rear and I'm wondering if that is normal.
